Again a simple thought- current aoe spamming Lord mechanic insures that assuming equal numbers in zone, or assuming a slight numbers advantage to attackers, the keep won't be taken unless some specific circumstances ( some guild logging a full premade wb, for example)- the fight will just drag until enough log/xrealm.
So what useful purpose do keep Lords serve, which is worth the tradeoff of the keeps only realistically be takeable with massive zerg advantage?
What useful purpose keep Lords serve?
What useful purpose keep Lords serve?

Re: What useful purpose keep Lords serve?
i agree with the above and another issue is that when is Lord is dead there is no counter play to take the zone back anymore. Yesterday in Elf T3, destro successfully defended the keep after the Lord was fallen, took BOs back, but they couldnt spawn siege at camp. Result was to just abandon the zone.

For now the counter play is to not let your keep lord die.
