I am just curious what would you propose to people who would want play underdog?
How could they join a realm that lack numbers if the lockouts will be introduced?
Probably, put a condition in soft lock code to remove this soft lock IF you choose to join it maybe :p.

IP address soft lock not very good idea when more then 1 player in a household.

Honestly xrelming is a player issue. No more realm pride if xrealming is an issue.
So just ignore something that would be a great change because of a fraction of people that live in the same house/will make a 2nd account? No... you are so wrong.

I say IP lock. Almost all other pvt servers do it (for legal reasons)

This could go several ways

And like most things I doubt the intended consequences are what you expect will happen

i think you don't understand how it would be supposed to work :)

You see this :
Faction A has 450 players Faction B has 100.
Play faction B or don't.

Which OBVIOUSLY is NOT the purpose :). (and wont be designed like this)

You have to keep in mind Xrealm regulation is not the same thing than balancing population.

The thing is how do u measure class pop. Do u count ppl that are flagged for pvp, what about ppl at cities or ppl doing pve. They are one moment not doing pvp next zerging with full wb. Soft locks are quiet tricky. To restore abit the realm pride hardlocks by ip or dont do a thing
Mostly harmless

We don't have too measure anything in fact :). When ready we will explain it very precisely, but this system won't be made to "force", but more to "invite".
