Coming back to the game, and want to play some RDPS, what are the general strengths/weaknesses of these two?

Engi - less mobile, has to manage his turret constantly as a mechanic, yet decent single target damage. Has a place in warbands because of the aoe pull.

SW - mobile outside of scout tree, medicore damage (scout tree has really weak dps output), has a working melee build and lots of utility.

Pretty much what everyone said.
Additionally:

Engi:
There is a dwarf guild that runs regularly snipersquads to bath in RR at Keep defences.
Spoiler:

SW:
Has an Elven Guild that runs Hunting groups on Friday EU prime.
