Reknown Level too high for T1

Am I locked out of finishing T1, and I take it that I cannot do rvr in those areas anymore? I was hoping for a piece of gear, and if I had known that I would have gotten locked out, I would have waiting to do rvr in that particular area

if you are rank 16 you will be turned into a chicken in t1 rvr zone.

you need to progress to t2-t4 and you will be bolstered.

Renown has nothing to do with it, but your regular level does. As Wam says, once you hit 16, you start playing in the higher tier. If it makes you feel any better, though, there is no single piece (or even any combination of pieces) that you'll really need from T1 for very long. Once you hit T2-4, join an open WB or do scenarios, enjoy the level buff you automatically get, and you'll level past any equipment you may have wanted in less than a day of play.
