DoT builds viability

Are DoT builds in this game just not as effective as instant damage build?

DoTs apply pressure but they don’t work vs players/healers that pay attention and cleanse

At the end of the day burst is king


That isn’t to say that dots don’t work in pug environments, gotten enough cheeky pandemonium kills to say otherwise

Against disorganised pugs a DoT magues/engi can do some crazy damage and loads of KBs.... However a few guards and healers cleansing and hotting and you feel like you barely tickle people with your fluff dps.

Hence why you build grenade for nothing but pure offense, crit, and dodge bypass. Or in general all engi builds
