Feedback: City Siege

EDIT:
This post became a trashtalk topic. Don't bother reading more than a few replies.
xRealming is not the solution.

Original post:

Hello, im posting this as a Warband leader point of view.

Yesterday the patch for City Siege was released. Myself and guild members + many players worked hard to defend Destru RvR Keeps all day to not let Order get to our city, we defended it succesfully, worked hard for it, stood up all day and night to push towards Altdorf, we managed to do that, HOURS invested to play siege Altdorf and what do we get? NOT EVEN A CHANCE OF DOING IT.

What happened? Most Destru had to wait for 1 hour straight at the queue for nothing, stood there like zombies waiting for the pop and guess what, NOTHING, NADA, NUFFIN....

Worked hours to push zones and for what? What do we get? a system that punishes the attackers not letting them play the city scenario.

This is a system that works better for the defenders, that wants players to GIVE UP ZONES in order to DEFEND the city because it will allow them to play it more since the Attacker side has more numbers, the defenders will have a Scenario pop 100% guaranteed for giving up the zones.

The Attackers that worked HARD for it don't get to play the city, this SYSTEM is wrong, it NEEDS REWORKING.

A lot of Destru players were heavily dissapointed and very unsatisfied for the way this CITY SIEGES were implemented.

This system just WANTS us to GIVE UP ZONES.

If this system keeps on going there's no reason to push zones, in fact, there will be no motivation to DEFEND keeps/forts. Just give it up for the attackers because they won't be able to play the city scenarios. Only defenders get to play it because of NUMBERS.

So what i'm asking to Devs is to really think of a way for city sieges to work for EVERYONE.

And it may be true, as we managed to DEFEND our Destru Keeps, eventually, order started to log off, hours of fighting untill one side simply gives up. You can say we "zerged" our way towards the City Siege, but hey, it's only fair to defend our keeps and then attack. It's not our fault to push zones due to Order simply not beeing capable of defend it, they actually GAVE UP defending.

You, as you are reading this, as a player, what do you think? Is there a way to FIX this issue? Do we have to be okey with it? Please share us your feedback.

Thanks for reading this outrage, cya in the lakes.

Everything has already been invented on the official servers, why reinvent the wheel, just do the same.

I see other problems: people rushing for back BO even before the Fort Lord is down. No one guarding jail because it will be too far from portal. A race to the portal, that's all it will be. Not waiting for others, selfishness and salt. Do not punish a faction if the other does not show up. Maybe reduce rewards in case there is an empty instance but at least allow everyone to participate. Lots got pissed off by today's city.

Yes, the fact that it's a RACE to reach the portal in order to queue makes it even more UNFAIR.

why hype us for city sieges? when we try to play them we can't..... it happened today as we pushed forts, we just coudln't get a pop for the city scenario, spent an hour standing there waiting and waiting....this made me feel sad and left the game distateful...wish this gets fixed soon

play both sides... swap to underdog, don't zerg

it was 220 D vs 100 O at 3 am EU time... almost record numbers for destro at alarm o clock

Keeps got zerged, forts got zerged...

so should zerging be rewarded more than it already is? Maybe people should swap and play the underdog more and this would be less of a problem?

Its harsh for people to fight constantly outnumbered... and yes its harsh for you also when numbers was more even to draw the short straw and miss out on this occasion ... but you need to see it from both sides of the coin and see the one solution is playing the underdog side instead of people overstacking one realm... and it will swing back and forth as population does.

But maybe it deters a little bit of the alarm clock raiding which is soon to be a ever present like it was on live

sorry for your bad luck and better luck next time.

Order just vanished at some point. Bit after ram crossed mid BO. They got wiped there and i guess lots got fed up and logged. There was no keep or fort defence to speak off. Nevertheless i think allowing empty instances providing not bags are to be looted but just couple crests would solve the problem and greatly reduce the amount of salt we can all foresee coming.

this was already discussed way before the release. We said we wont allow empty instances to be made so you cant get free loot.

This means that zerging on one side will mean some people wont be able to enter as there wont be any opposition for them.
