Suiciding on Ram

So its getting really bad now people are starting to figure out that when you have 200 ppl defending a keep, while the outer is up you can just dive on the ram do 1-2% to it in the 3-5 seconds you are alive and just respawn in the keep and rinse repeat with impunity. It's bad enough when just a couple ppl are doing it but all it takes is a whole warband or organized suicide to wipe out a ram and stop any push because you just respawn in the keep as long as outer is up. And its not even a "bro protect the ram better" thing these people are dying almost instantly but after a while those small chips in the ram add up.

idk what you can do to fix it, but it was really bad tonight. Once organized warbnds catch on and start doing this it will be literally impossible to take a keep if the defenders dont want you to.

Solution is simple, you shouldn't respawn in the keep if you die.

really not a solution, you could get rezzed...

Better: you die if jump from walls....or enable the mechanics that actually the game have (not working) to heal/clean/buff siege engines...

Yeah this strat is really frustrating, and offers no real counter play at the moment. It's pretty annoying to have to watch as 10-15 people drop, DPS, respawn, repeat until your siege fails.

Sure you can get ressed, but there are LoS issues and Ive also seen these suicide pushes when the ram was towed away, so out of range of the walls to even ress. Also you can cc/damage walls when people are trying to ress. At least there is counter play to suiciding on the ram if you cannot spawn in the keep.

This does work for the most part, at least when the oil is down. However when the oil is up, this is where the strat can require some organisation. I mean it's a definite counter strat, but requires substantial more organisation to pay off for the opposition.

People have been doing this since before the influx of new players, but it only really became a problem when they increased the damage taken from oil. The easiest solution would be to reduce the oil damage, or have the oil affect players on both sides.

Have people guarding the sides of the ram, hugging the wall, problem solved.
