WE - Enveloping Shadows Skill Suggestion

Enveloping Shadows has the potential to add some additional build diversity to WE's already diverse kit if Elixir of Shadows also triggered the absorb proc. E.g., shadow prowler -> shield, mid fight EoS -> second shield. It would have good synergy with the tree and make something like a 0-11-12 build more interesting.

I think it does shield already? While i was using the tactic After pop EoS I always got shielded when leaving it, which saved my life often. Im only not using it because Witch Brew gets all buffs, but having three shield procs, one by dominator proc, is awesome together with allot of toughnes, I've got 800. I think up to about 3k absorb in a single fight if every bubble pops two times, what happens often and allot reduced incoming dmg makes this build very tanky.

For solo roaming ES is awesome.

A test in IC shows otherwise, so would be good to confirm.

Can confirm that on WH, leaving the 2 sec stealth doesn't re-apply the shield.

Ok you totally correct. I tested also and it didn't proc. Sorry my mistake.

But so yes, it would be really cool if it would cause a whole tactic slot just for one bubble after stealth isn't worth it.

I am very interested in a durable, regen/toughness spec for WE, and this sounds like it would be a nice change, but the numbers look a bit low. 600ish absorb sacrificing a tactic slot and a very good escape tool in the process seems expensive too me. I might be wrong, I am no WE expert. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, Rumpel, what gear do you recommend? how do you get to 800 toughness?? do you use dominator for the absorb proc?

You don't lose an escape tool - EoS still must be run. The change is to make EoS proc the second shield. One could feasibly have 4-5, maybe more, absorb procs per fight running this altered tactic and then the other absorb tactic (the one that procs when critically hit). It also depends on your build - for me, 0-11-12 is the most appealing.

What makes absorb so good is that it doesn't rely on other stats. It doesn't matter what your parry, toughness, etc. is, absorb is absorb. So, even for max dmg runners like myself, it's still a viable tactic build option.

I'm sorry, I don't understand. How do you make EoS proc the second shield without activating EoS and thereby triggering the ability's cooldown? I must be missing something obvious
