Is Parry on Guard damage working?

Running 90% Parry with Oathbound and Earthshatter proc active. Link to snapshot with 32 guard attacks and I only Parried 3 of them.

With 90% Parry, it should have been the opposite, only allowing 3 attacks to land.

Am I missing something here?

If you are running 2h, there is probably a soft cap for guard parry where you can only parry %25(I am not sure if this is true) of your incoming guard damage
Destruction: 40-BG / 40-DoK / 40-Chosen / 37-Mara / 37/Sorc / 36-SH / 36-Choppa / 24-Shaman / 16-WE
Order: 40-SW / 40-SM / 40-WP / 40-WL / 39-Kotbs / 38-BW / 33-AM / 22-WH / 16-RP / 12-Slayer

Either a bug or really BAD luck since I run 74-75% on my bg and I parry most of my guard dmg.

Well, 75% is the cap for all avoidance.

was all of the attacks from your guarded target all physical attacks? that can be magic attacks or range attacks that hits the guarded target.

is 75% really the cap for all avoidance? can anyone 100% confirm that?

Doesn’t matter the type of attack, it gets into Guard damage which is pure damage that can be Blocked or Parried (regardless of the original kind of attack). And yes 75% (hard) is the max effective avoidance you can have (outside of morales such as Confusing Movements or Concealment). You should also learn the difference between hard and soft avoidance.

Have a “feeling” that there is something up with parry and gaurd in some circumstances.

Saturday I could have sworn gaurd damage cut through me with minimal parries. Have not been able to prove or quantify so I use the dreaded “feel” as strong indicator of too manny variables to be able to reproduce for me.
I can say though Sunday things felt back to normal so maybe there was a bug affecting tactic, can not put my finger on the issue but stats seemed exactly the same just parry rate was very different.

If I remeber correctly 75% parry attack on U. Parry a GUARD attack is capped at 25%.
