Wouldn't that take away the idea behind those tactics which is for them to function as a crutch till player progresses with gear and stats high enough so that he can drop it in favour of the 4th and final build tactic or keeping it but adding more defence from renown to the build without loosing the edge against end game geared opponents?

if anything it would probably bug bolster to be even better

I agree with adding the stat to the baseline of the class for freeing up a slot.

Sounds like something everyone could benefit from.

This yes, more utility through tactics. Some more dmg and heals overall but probably more pros than cons.

The problem is that it'd widen the gap between entry level T4 chars and end game ones. Everyone gets +160 as well as armour, renown and talisman bonuses, gear set mixes... Attaining 1100 of a main stat is not a problem now but it comes at a cost. Having extra 160 would result in hard cap (1200) being reached around mid T4 gear sets.

Imagine disparity of fresh conq wearing people (already with 160 bonus) going against 160+BiS crowd. Fun for veterans, nightmare for new toons.

Weren’t you the guy trying to get rampage nerfed in your “slayer/choppa” post that didnt mention choppa yesterday?

Now you’re trying to get Wild Gambit, which is the core of slayer/choppa dps, removed. What is your problem with Slayer man?

they both go up by 160 so how exactly is that a disparity?

One idea i've thought about is turning the stat tactics into the slots of tome/rr. So every class has a 160 main stat and a 80 off stat (so 160 str/bs/toughness/int/wp and an 80 ws/int/str) and you choose one or the other. This frees up a tactic slot for everyone BUT it is imbalances cause some classes (SW/Mara etc) benefit waaay more from one extra tactic than others (WH most notably, which only has 3 useful tactics in main spec). Would be interesting to see it though.
