Why was WE given a pounce?

I can't imagine a single reason why would the class who already has no problem with gapclosing due to invis also get a pounce. And a slow on top of it. Why it's miror got nothing.

Well, no reason except that someone died in PVP to SW.

Better ask why WE only got some semi useful pounce, while WH got one of the few AOE armor debuffs in the game, which additionally can be used to generate mechanic points without hitting a target for an out of nowhere range knockdown.

WH is in a very good state imo, cant say anything about we never played one, but played against many and it feels like a strong class to play against. I think the stealth classes are fine.
