In the current stage of the implementation, any siege weapon can damage a keep door. Granted that cannons barely deal any damage, but lately more and more they have been used to systematically avoid the underdog team to be able to rank their keeps, thus preventing siege weapon defense spawn and preventing any possibility to counterattack. In the current stage, once a cannonball is shot at the door, the keep is pretty much unusable for quite a while. While this is not an exploit, I don't think that was intended for doors to be taken by cannon fire, so the existence of this feature is usually being exploited to deny the underdog realm, the one less able to move a cannon all along the zone, a fighting chance.
My proposal is very simple: Either only rams can flag a keep as under attack, or it's only possible once the keep has reached three stars so defenders have a chance to do it, or make the refresh of the under attack status very fast for cannons and mortars.
