Basic Healer Guide

The basic gameplay of a healer is to select a target and heal them,
but it's not as easy as it seems.
I hope this guide will be helpful for novice healers who don't know where to start.

Survival
Use detaunt. it's instant and 15sec duration with 15sec cooldown.
You can continuously reduce the damage from one enemy by 50%.
You should set up a self-target key so that you are always ready to select yourself. in my case C.

Addon Settings

1. enemy unit frame
Image
By doing this, you can select targets across the entire warband and the same goes for SC.
Your group is separated, making it easier to focus.
The top two are tanks, the middle two are damage dealers, and the bottom two are healers.
It's much easier to quickly choose tanks on the front lines or save healers in an emergency.
Most importantly, this is useful for checking and creating 2-2-2 groups.
Additionally, if Line of Sight is not secured, the target will be greyed out or marked with a red dot if they are far away.

2. buffhead

You need to look at immunity, buffs, and debuffs. Especially the immunity timer.
When you get hit by silence or stagger, use M2 to break free, and heal without worrying about CC during the immunity timer.
Having too many things on your screen can obstruct your view, so at first, just looking at immunity is enough.
As you get used to it, gradually increase the number of buffs and debuffs you pay attention to.
It's important to anticipate and react to healing debuffs or the starting debuff of the rotation.

Basic Healing
All healers have a 15sec duration HoT, a 2sec casting ST, a 3sec casting group heal, cleans, and a shield in common.

HoT
Please pre-hot melees before engaging in combat,
as burst damage comes in the form of DoT + direct damage assist,
and needs to be dealt with using HoT + direct healing assist.

Cleanse
To prevent the full damage of enemy rotations, you need to interrupt them in the middle.
It means disrupting their rotation.
For example, in the case of sorc/BW, set up Word of Pain/Boiling Blood to show on allies in buffhead,
and focus on healing while cleansing allies affected by these debuffs.
For engi/magi, it would be Withered Soul/Signal Flare.
You may not be able to cure all the necessary debuffs, but the effect is still greater than expected.

Shielding
You can think of it as an instant heal.
Since it is an instant skill, it is used to buy time for other healing. It's good in emergencies.

ST Healing
This is a big burst heal. It's a crucial skill that's difficult to use at the right moment and on the right target.

Group Healing
This is a long-range heal that does not require line of sight or a target.
It is easy to use but has a long cast time, so you may miss the timing for a crucial heal when you really need it.
Don't become an AoE heal spammer.

Image
It's safe to use group healing now.

Image
This is not a good moment to use group healing.
Group member with lowest health have a high chance of dying during the casting.
This is the time to target the lowest hp and perform emergency healing.
However, emergency healing is a high-level technique, so we'll cover it next time.
It varies for each healer.
Sometimes, in order to save a more important target, you may need to sacrifice another target.
This judgment requires experience.

Classes
If you still don't know what to do even after setting up, this is the basic healing rotation.
only for the noobs
Spoiler:
Sham
Use two HoTs, Do Sumfin Useful + Ey Quit Bleeding.
Use mobile healing I'll Take That and Bleed Fer Me when mechanic points accumulate.
Use casting heal when there is no need to move.
Shrug It Off on 50% hp.

DoK
Always maintain Khaine's Vigor(grp HoT) and Soul Infusion(ST HoT).
Use Khaine's Invigoration(ST) and Khaine's Embrace(AoE) on top of these HoTs
for emergency, Soul Shielding and spam Khaine's Embrace.

Zeal
always maintain Leaping Alteration, Tzeentch's Cordial(HoT) and Rituals.
Tzeentch's Cordial to trigger Warping The Spirit tactic.
Flash of Chaos to trigger Blessing of Chaos tactic 25% heal buff.
Ritual of Lunacy count as direct heal.
Daemonic Fortitude for emergency.

AM
pass

WP
Always maintain Pious Restoration(grp HoT) and Healing Hand(ST HoT).
Use Divine Mend(ST) and Touch of the Divine(AoE) on top of these HoTs
for emergency, Divine Light and spam Touch of the Divine.

RP
always maintain Rune of Serenity, Rune of Regeneration(HoT) and Rituals.
Rune of Regeneration to trigger Regenerative Shielding tactic.
Grungni's Gift to trigger Blessing of Grungni tactic 25% heal buff.
Master Rune of Adamant count as direct heal.
Protection of the Ancestors for emergency.

I'm seeing no mentions of detaunt, not sure whether its an assumption you wont get caught or some other reason, but on all healing classes you should detaunt dps (NOT TANKS) attacking you as a priority. This is especially important in scenarios with a ST group, where you will need to survive avery deadly burst damage and keep your party alive at the same time. General rule is always kite to the tank in your party, detaunt DPS and possibly pop Focus Mind to avoid snares.
RoR doesnt deserve being taken seriously.

I updated it with the version translated using ChatGPT.
What a wonderful world we live in, with AI doing translations, while some parts of it are deteriorating.
