Kajtarn and Fenryl too, though I'm not 100% sure they even play Assault anymore.

Re: (SW) Shadowstep is the worst skill in the game
Yeah the only way to use it is pointblank to gain the defensive buffs, but it still feels bad using it in a point blank melee scenario as it feels like a wasted GCD where as if you used it as a gapcloser you'd have your GCD Back off CD by the time you reach ur target not tanking ur damage while keeping your defensive buffs.Adelmar wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 7:40 pm @Saiho, We had spoken about this a bit in game already, but I find it a much better ability to boost defense in a close up fight since the animation doesn't last nearly as long compared to using it max range, as Karl also attested to here. That being said, I also believe the ability needs a bit of tweaking (the insta port to the enemies flank idea seems good enough for me).
All we can do as SW players is hope that once our turn in the DPS Phase comes, we don't get shafted.
But like you said all we have to do is wait and hope we do get some love on the spec in general for the few of us that still want to commit to playing it
PS: Give us tyrant set so aSW's can use the dual sword cape model thank u, amen
Re: (SW) Shadowstep is the worst skill in the game
Throne and Liberty has a dagger ability called "Shadow Strike" that this should be modeled after. You pretty much insta-port to target, appearing behind (although in practice it ends up actually being opposite of whatever you're facing), does a moderate damage strike, and roots the target for 2 seconds. It can also be specced so that if used again with 6 seconds, you port back to your original casting spot.
Maybe not all of this can or should be done, and if used in this fashion then maybe the defense component would need some nerfing. But yes faster and with a short duration root/snare should be a minimum.

I just want to point out that this is the only balance discussion that i have ever seen where no one is stating the opposite.

Because nobody takes these forums seriously anymore, most discussions are held on discords because It's all just disingenuous & manipulative whining on RoR forums. Discussing with biased order-only players is just a waste of time.

Spoken like someone who has never read through the history of RoR or various Dev postings. LOL, the delusion is so strong in this one.Ashoris wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2024 12:33 pmtalking about BiasMooselager wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2024 5:54 am It's all just disingenuous & manipulative whining on RoR forums. Nah, i probably just play that game in a different "bracket" than you (meaning less people - more teamplay) and therefore have a different view on some of the imbalancesMooselager wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2024 10:40 pm Spoken like someone who has never read through the history of RoR or various Dev postings. but iam at least aware of the fact that this can differ. I know why people call WL or SW OP .... but i also know why ppl thinking the exact opposite and requesting buffs in certain areas for this classes.

Nope, wrong and proven once again why players do not engage or pay attention to RoR forums, The dishonest manipulation is obvious to everyone it seems except to the wannabe deceivers.Ashoris wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 12:38 amNah, i probably just play that game in a different "bracket" than you (meaning less people - more teamplay) and therefore have a different view on some of the imbalancesMooselager wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2024 10:40 pm Spoken like someone who has never read through the history of RoR or various Dev postings.
