What is "Timestamping?"
What is "Timestamping?"
I've seen the term used and looked up every instance on this forum... nothing explains what the term actually means. Thanks! =)

Re: What is "Timestamping?"
Usually single target Sorc/ Bright wizard thing, but basically they both have skills in their single target rotation that the caster aims to hit their target at the same time, hence time-stamping.
For example Bright wizard rotation (which I have way more experience off): Ignite (dot+amplifies damage) > Boiling blood (debuff which hits major damage 5s after cast) > Pyroplastic Surge (cast with a travel time, hits about 1,5s after cast)> Sear (hits instantly) > Withering heat (channel, first hit instantly). Within a couple of global cooldowns, when most of these connect, the target takes a massive burst of damage.

Timing DoTs and Instants so they will hit almost at the same time, resulting in a ton of burst damage.
