Re: First time playing and playing black ork
stat prio don't rly exist in this game since there is not too many gear sets/items to go between. but for snb BO focus block, wounds, toughness, parry. as for build, on BO the left tree is for 2hander, middle tree is tanky/shield, right tree is buffs/cc.

Re: First time playing and playing black ork
Black Orc has a mechanic with three different stances, so you can only use certain abilities depending on your stance. Roughly these fall into openers, follow up, and finisher. Pursuant to this you have an ability that will change your current stance. To optimize the class you need to use, Changin the Plan, to its full potential.
Overall the class is not too complicated. Rule one for any tank is to guard and follow your target. I'm not sure when the class gets, Changin the Plan, but that's the ability you should look out for.

Re: First time playing and playing black ork
Your main choice is whether you're going sword n board, or 2hander.
SnB is "proper" tank, so choose your gear sets that match up with block chance. These will naturally channel you towards block chance, wounds, toughness. Choose weapons and shields that give you defensive stats. This will make you a much better tank in pvp, though if ur doing any solo pve, it'll be very slow.
2hander is more damage focused. It's fun to play and can do some reasonable burst damage eventually......but you can't really tank until much later on. You'll have to decide if u want to be a tank that does a bit of damage, or a damage dealer that is slightly tanky. If you still wanna tank, then stack parry, wounds and toughess. If u wanna focus more on dealing damage, then stack strength and wounds.
I would probably advise going full tank to start with. The increased survivability will give you time to learn the game, and as so many tanks go 2hander, having a proper tank will really help your team in scenarios and rvr. Then, in ur late 20s or 30s, try switching to 2hander and see how that feels. By that point you'll have enough specialisation points to make 2hander feel fun, and u should do well in scenarios. That way, when u hit 40 and sets start costing a lot, u can choose what feels best for u.
