We should have removed ranked a long time ago by that metric.
you missed the point.
but on a more serious note have you used the ranked queue at some point ? do you know why it was not used for a long time ? Should not be the exact opposite also be a valid reason ... use it as a normal solo queue ... you can only queue solo and you always will get a perfect setup !

Do you think that 1200 people is enough for a single Warhammer universe game server?
AM, BW, SL, SM, WL, Engi, RP - all 80+ and BIS.
BO for easy game on mid tier sc.

Theres why you can always find a group. I am on -9 Altdorf time. Usually play at 5:30PM PST. The server pop is only around a couple hundred. So its damn near impossible to find a group, queue, or anything remotely that isnt just solo PvE or small groups of oRvR objective camping.

Also I have made friends, but they aren't all on at the same time. As a dad, you know how incredibly challenging it is to get a group of adults in the same room at the same time for more than a hour.

Yes, well, fair enough. Timeframe matters alot, and worse then during NA this game is only for Oceanic. As of getting together adults, i obviously agree and kinda feel sorry for you, but it definitely gets better the more time you spend in game.

The only thing that can be done from your side is to prioritize at least grabbing a folk or two before you q, even as a duo its much better then alone. Dont be afraid to just /5 "lf tank/heal/dps" (however sometimes premade is on your side and you can be carried easily even as solo q) as soon as you log if you've got the mood for SCs or wanna grind warfront. People tend to say that building groups is a huge chore (which is semitrue, crucial word of "proper" group is usually missing then indeed its incredibly hard to gather proper strong group), but just start doing literally any group. Even if you wont be on discord or not gonna have a lead or bad comp, it will still be much better. Lad joined but wasnt satisfied with performance result and left? Dont even bother and think about that, look for another one even while you solo q, and (or) just pm any person you think did well in your scenario with a proposal to group up. Dont be afraid to say "g2g folks, kids" after 2-3 matches, nobody actually cares. Changing this mindset from "oh man, what a chore to communicate, im better off being chill and alone" into "i dont care who's that person, first and foremost its tank/dps/heal that i need" will benefit you big time. Good likeminded folks will stick, some will not. But whatever.

Good luck to you. Hope something from this thread helps you.

Just to say, its super funny to see all 450+ messages people defending their free win ...

is gatekeeping your only solution to feel powerfull in your life ? Or cant you give the opportunity to others to have fun and maybe beat you one day ?

Talking about having multiple characters, choosing gameplay hours etc ... is changing something CLEARLY bad costing you so much ? I played 20 games this week-end and got stomped 20 times in less than 5 minutes ? How am i supposed to tell my friend this game is good ? Are you really having fun stomping for the millions time in the same way people who clearly played less ?

Trully pathetic

And those who then manage should then be punished by the system (with longer queue) because they managed to organise? We've suggested that the queue should prioritise premade Vs. premade, but within reason. NA premades should not go a full evening without a SC pop if people on the other side decide to not group. In this game people are so petty that they decide to not go to fort to rob people of the fort bag, so don't tell me people wouldn't abuse a strict 6vs6 match making system.

I saw two premades this weekend during EU prime time, both on order. Were the scenarios any closer without premades? No, not AFAIK, same old stomp, but sure I had to queue 11 Gates to fill the weekend SC bar on my lowbie healer (3 week solo streak, though this was the toughest one yet).

Has nothing to do with gatekeeping .... just accepting my own responsibility instead of blaming a missing piece of technology that can do nothing that i could'nt do by myself.
Thats just a different way to approach life.

Stomps are happening disregarding groups/premades or not, they are common in discordant as well (some parts of a puzzle to succed i mentioned here connects for one side and disconnects for other and there you go, one of the sides is guarding spawn spot). Those are parts of game/combat mechanic, in one of the same threads within this year it has been discussed already. Every side of discussion (group enjoyers vs. mylittleponyadventure enjoyers) thinktank it and came to clear conclusion that its somewhat an issue and solution by game design could be somekind of comeback mechanics (take a note, excluding what player could do, e.g. group up and gitgud), but here it starts to be difficult and cant be resolved by whining and ranting hence nobody out of folks like you create any proposals but just copycat threads like this one and beat the poor dead horse over and over again.
Nobody is gatekeeping anything, game is designed this way, classes, archetypes, combat mechanics, everything is literally designed around group play.
Problem is you and people alike who cant embrace that and are getting frustrated with results but instead of being constructive and propose something to discuss just use some dull strawman arguments and "key words" like "gatekeep", "not fun", "change", "stomp" etc. And in regards to changes, if you were on a level of understanding the game that would allow you to divide term "group" and "premade", 6v6 and regular SC, ranked and not ranked you would understand why so many oppose this genious idea of narrowing and shoehorning each and every SC into "premades (which are close to none existant at the moment) vs premade" & "pug vs pug". And the answer is clear as night&day - because it hits majority of CASUALS who are not constant hardcore 6 elitists but did embrace grouping up in MMO.

You did manage and find time to play 20 games but it was so hard to ask in /5 for LFG? There has been people in /5 whole weekend grouping up both sides. I managed to complete warfront on order solo playing 1 SCs per 2-3 hours in between irl chores on saturday, did it on destro as trio on sunday totally casually and complete it within 2 hours yesterday night in full 6 on other order char (we've lost one SC with other pug party against Airplane group + some other destro group, not even sure those were full 6). Ive seen thru this weekend 1 group vs 2 group wins&losses, 2 groups vs 2 groups, alot of 2-5 groups here and there and alot of pugs being carried over by whatever group was stronger.

Just stop q'ing group content as solo brutally denying to meet the consequences and either dont participate at all if you are so much against grouping or accept the outcomes being solo in a mercy of any group whatever side they are on or finally do what everyone else is doing, play with your friends.

Pathetic is hitting a wall with your head when the door is right next to you.

I 100% agree with this. In the last few months, I have recruited 5 new players/friends. Of the 5;
  • 2 have quit entirely because of the SC pub stomps. Considering all the good gear options and late game content is PvP, they did not want to grind 40 with 0RR. Open world is often dead or dying by the time we get on to play, and running from cap to cap at low levels is tedious. SCs are hard to queue in general and when you finally get one, you get pub stomped by a premade. Demoralizing. hence, they are gone.
  • 2 Have endured but are very demoralized by SCs in general. ESPECIALLY on the weekends from the events. They are wanting to start the slow farm of genesis fragments for their starter endgame weapons and trinkets. But, they can't in small group PvP. Even when 2 or 3 of us get on, there's still a perfect 6-man premade on the other side ready to stomp them. This also includes switching tier brackets and sides. There's always a premade on the weekends. We have tried to form our own, that usually meets with a higher win ratio, but as stated above by someone else, getting a group together is a challenge.
  • The last one is still too new to know how to feel. And he is a skilled WoW player. He ahs agreed SCs are punishing and has almost exclusively done oRvR while even horribly outnumbered to avoid the punishment. This should NOT be the mentality. Especially when hitting 16 and just not even wanting to participate. Because fresh 16 oRvR is rough enough.
Frankly, because of this, I've stopped trying to recruit people. I casually share what I am playing with friends, but have stopped trying to promote the game. The learning curve is hard enough without the gatekeeping.

Seeing a lot of players trying to defend the current scenario matchmaker is quite sad imo, matchmaker prioritising groups over other players and when they queue its creating a new instance resulting in groups not facing each other but instead they just pull everything else in the queue for faster queues, this queue prio thing needs to be removed
