Chosen BIS and rotations?

Hey all -

I'm back into that game after leaving in 2020 and spent a week combing through the forums and all the different Chosen threads for BIS, rotations (what to use, what sucks now e.g. Seeping dots not critting in RoR but did on live, still use?).

Would someone mind, and I know it's a PITA, posting the 2H build, gear (X gear in which slot?) rotations and same for S/B?

The best tank is the one who doesn’t die before the players they are guarding in the group—you already know that :) Design accordingly.
The weapon damage percentage (no RR100 Weapon) isn’t the same as it was on the live server. Melee Power is useless; the game is now melee crit-based. There’s stability in the game. Most players use 5 Sovereign / 4 Victorious, but I think it’s wrong. The bonuses of DEF sets are restricted by the Block feature for 2H, so they are not used.

For a DEF 2H Tank:

2 DEF Sovereign: Helm/Gloves
4 Triumphant: Body/Belt/Boots/Ring
2 Victorious: Back/Shoulder
The classic setup within a group: The game has entered a new era, and the veterans have taken a break. Now, we’ll wait for things to settle again with new players. The only problem is groups of 6 farming pugs in 10 consecutive SCs. We get it, you're good players. If you face pugs in 3 SCs in a row, either disband your group or play with your alts, or there won’t be any players left in the game. If there are groups on both sides, I have no complaints. Or, whatever, do whatever you want... ;) :)

This from you is quite amusing :) i played solo/duo a LOT and you were there with 6 man the whole evening doing nothing else than PUG farming (as can be seen in the Killbnoard SC tab).

My guess is you dont get any 6man runnng currently, and are on the receiving end ... was not that much of an issue with you when you were the one "farming".

Badlands (and Volkmar)
2h has a few different gear and mastery builds, depending on your content. Full warlord for one can be used effectively in smallscale, kite/roam, especially 6v6 and 12v12 SCs. 5/4 offsov/victorious (offsov helm, shoulder, chest, belt, jewel + vic cloak, gloves, boots, jewel) is also extremely strong, used with 13/9/0 build can deal a lot of damage and maintain high uptime on corruptive power tactic. You also have max parry/defensive build 4tri/2vic/2bloodlord which is very strong now that warlord detaunt proc got nerfed - vic helm, cloak + bloodlord shoulders, belt + tri chest, gloves, boots, jewel. fortress weapon with all builds typically, but you can also take hand of malal if you don't have fortress weapon yet.

Build 1 - for SC/dealing damage. Great for pugstomping with premade. Best with 5offsov/4vic set since you need a lot of crit to maintain corruptive power.

Build 2 - for 6man kite/roaming parties. Quake, Reflection and Siphoned are really good for this. You won't be dealing massive amounts of damage here, barely any in fact, the goal is supporting/CC/utility/securing punts/keeping yourself and your party stable. You can also drop Siphoned tactic and slot Rugged or Critical Suppression (if no BG in party) instead if you have Fortress weapon. Also can drop Siphoned for AP aura if you're playing full warlord (need +2 bonus to do that).

Renown 1 - for Damage/Corruptive Power build

Renown 2 - for the Defensive build. I really like Quick Escape personally for kiting, but not everyone feels that way so you can remove it and place points in Dodge/Disrupt or another stat if you prefer.

There's of course more options depending on your situation, with both mastery and renown, these are just common builds that I and others I play with run.

As for soloing/1v1 I have no clue, I only play organized group content so I cannot help you there. And as for "rotation", there is really nothing set in stone, especially as a tank. Dozens of variables contribute to what button you will push at what time, so a definitive rotation cannot be established in pvp situations. Best I can say is just to listen to your MA and don't give the enemies free immunities, use KD/punt when it's called for or to peel under pressure and try to maintain snare on the kill target always.

When we formed a group, there were usually one or two groups on the opposing side. When PUG SCs started coming one after another, we would take a break or disband the group because it became boring. Yes, I can’t form a group anymore because I don’t play as much as I used to. The Destruction side is in bad shape anyway; there aren’t enough players. I just play a few SCs solo with my Sorcerer or Chosen and log off. Also, I don’t have the energy to form or keep up with a group. Logging in and looking for players takes 30 to 45 minutes. If you play 5 or 6 SCs in an hour, that’s 1 hour and 45 minutes gone. If someone leaves the group, you spend another 30 minutes looking for players. That makes it 2 or 3 hours, which is exhausting.

You’re doing the hard part—playing as a SW is tough. Compared to a SW, Choppa is much more suitable for solo or duo play. Go roll a Choppa and try playing solo/duo. It’s impossible to play solo or duo as a Choppa, you’re just talking nonsense :)

Don’t worry, whether I’m playing as WE or SH, I always find you; you’re just not aware of it :) Because you don’t know the names :)
