this, if you know what you are doing you can earn some good money with a warhammer private server. Complete free projects like ror will runie such a project. So you need to kill it.

I would not be suprised when there will be a new warhammer server in some weeks or month .

Doubt it, most DDOS attacks on servers like these are because they are seen as competition, they don't care about the recognition. Like said in the thread already there is probably someone who will benefit greatly from the server being shutdown or the source being made public.

Script kiddies and mad 14 year old can do some small scale stuff like you see on competitive multiplayer games, im sure some people remember how bad L4D was. In games like Dota people can find the IP of the server they are playing on and if they know they are going to lose they can crash it and the game wont be recorded (no loss for them). But taking down an entire server like this one I think requires a bit more know how and more resources, if it is anything like WoW private servers there is definitely going to be tons of DDOSing going on as soon as another server or prospective server pops up or wants to compete with this one.
