Unfortunately that is how a significant amount of people feel. The gear grind with poor RvR is what killed off my guild, Kings Own, as more than 50% of people quit the game, many of them who used to be hardcore on both live and RoR.
The Devs state that they are not considered about the number of players as this is Alpha, but less players is less testers, and forcing people into scenarios for gear is even less testing as scenarios are generally tried-and-tested whilst RvR is where the real testing needs to be done.

My guild is pretty much dead as well. I would say it's just the circumstances. Many new games came out and they released the new rvr system at the same time, which people didn't quite like obviously.

Well, people play a game that has RvR at its core because they want to fight.
However, the current gear systems prevents people exactly from doing that as it forces them into PVE or Scenarios to get gear, and when they do hit RvR they encounter something that is not fun/rewarding/engaging and thus quit.
The way the game is setup at the moment is the opposite from what many players want.

Wow, so much melodrama, grumbling & self entitlement...
Personally, I am also waiting for the new RvR system to come out. Tried & tested quite a few keep attacks/defences in the current patched system & it wasn't my cup of tea. However, there's a big difference between my approach and that of a lot of the others grumbling in this thread...
I appreciate that a new system is being worked on. I also appreciate that this will take time, and the devs are all doing it in their SPARE TIME. This is not their jobs. So, rather than whine about it, I simply resurrected another couple of games that I play, spent more time in those and pop in here / log in a lot less often until the new system is rolled out.
There's no need to ragequit in a cloud of dramatic moaning, it's free here so just take a break & come back, or don't. If this pains people so much that they ragequit rather than show some patience, then I doubt they'll be missed very much when it is all working as intended.

Then you'll have to be patient like the rest of us, so try to cut back on all the moaning posts, eh?
