Hey there, I play in NA as well, I think it's very worth it!

I played WAR when it was run by Mythic. Unfortunately they didn't care about the game much because it couldn't compete with WoW at the time. Also, when the game was released it had serious lag issues. This version is completely different. It is run by people who are resurrecting the game because they love it and it never had a chance to succeed.
Why do I love the game? I have never had more fun playing in PvP as I had in this game. It really is more RvR than PvP. Plus, it gets better the higher you get in levels. Don't rush to get to 40 though, be patience and have fun levelling, because Renown is important.
Be patient with the developers as well, this game isn't run by a gaming company looking for profit, it's run by people who genuinely love this game and sacrifice their time to bring it back to its former glory.

Yep! It's fun. Except when the Shadow Warriors knock you down, from the other side of the map, the Bright Wizards burn you up, from the other side of the map, and the Engineers pull you to your doom... from the other side of the map.

Other than that it's @#^@@!^& great!

You forgot about how Black Orcs can slow whole WB down....and take like 5 people to kill....and hit harder then any other tank and also how godly shamans are. Yeah you forgot all that stuff.

I just want to second the notion of staying past Tier 1. Use T1 to pick a class you want to play and learn the basic mechanics. The real fun starts in Tier 2.
