Just 'guardswapping' seperates bad ones from mediocre ones, swapping in accordance to what is actually going on seperates mediocre ones from good ones.
There are plenty of tanks that prematurely/randomly swap just for the sake of swapping and leaving a seemingly good impression...
Someone's HP drops one percent, tank swaps, former guardee dies within 1-2 GCDs ~ current guardee remains basically untouched.

It requires the ability to think ahead a tad; read the engagement, and not just 'react' to bars moving up and down. I.e.: getting used to swapping guard != learning <how> to properly swap ~

Thanks everyone, I didn't realize til this morning that I got more responses, I'll look up that, "ENEMY" addon and download it, if you have a link and can provide I would appreciate it. I've gotten my BO up to lvl 13 but I think I'm going to roll a Chosen. Reasoning is a little silly, but being in IC and seeing high lvl Chosen & BO's, the high lvl Chosen gear just looks immensely better imo, and I've been told there is a possibility in the future that the devs will add in Nurgle themed armor, which, uh, yes please.
