Make sure read only is unchecked. Right click the game folder > Properties > uncheck "Read only" > OK.
If your game folder is in a torrent folder, move it to a different directory on your system.

Hi i have a problem like yours
launcher was going well yesteray and today:
Could not connect to Login server
System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (0x80004005): Aucune connexion n’a pu être établie car l’ordinateur cible l’a expressément refusée 87.98.172.235:8000
à System.Net.Sockets.Socket.Connect(IPAddress[] addresses, Int32 port)
à System.Net.Sockets.Socket.Connect(String host, Int32 port)
à RoRLauncher.Client.Connect()

I have the same error, hope someone will find out how to fix it soon.
