and you think, if anyone, give that the code for free or waht are you thinking, the game is dead, and this devs here, do a very good job, and you see on the top, this is a alpha server, this menas, bugs are normal, if you play a game, go away and play f2p games or wow or other games
Thanks for the info, I think I'm starting to understand the general concept.Natherul wrote: Tue May 15, 2018 1:00 pm
But yes, the server is made ground up from sniffed packetdata, which also means not all packets are implemented as we may not know how all packets worked. With client control we can change any packet as we please and as such take away any guessing

Alandrian wrote: Tue May 15, 2018 1:48 pm I overlooked that EA had to pay tens of millions to create that code, lol! But is that code worth anything anymore considering WAR is dead, abandoned by it's creators/owners?
We're talking about EA and GW, not Blizzard. The main difference being that both EA and GW don't give a crap about their customers but care only for their money while Blizzard showed multiple times they also care about their playerbase.Alandrian wrote: Tue May 15, 2018 1:48 pm Well, the cease and desist on WoW's largest private server Nostalrius culminated in Blizzard announcing official Classic WoW servers. So if RoR ever gets big enough to attract EA's/Games Workshop's attention, then we could possibly see an official WAR server. And the RoR devs would be heroes to the WAR community.
