Hi, I'm Japanese.
I've been playing for a long time since it went live, but I think the current state of T1 Zone's RvR is the worst it's ever been.
Currently, at almost all times players just flag sitting in the RvR area.
In T1 up until now, PvP was always being held, and new players were drawn in by the fun of the game.
In the current state, I wonder what new players will think if they try playing it.
Trying it out a little and then just sitting around will probably be boring.
There are probably people who will quit the game at that point.
I want Japanese players to continue to accumulate, but with the current state of T1, I can't recommend this game to others.
Instead of holding PvP, I hope that you make a system where players can receive a higher level of compensation.
I agree it is annoying, but you need to remember that everyone plays the game for their own reasons and expecting them to avoid the lazy/easy option is not realistic and only reduces YOUR enjoyment because you are allowing them to annoy you.
I don't like leading anymore than most people, but i will step up and try and herd the T1 cats into some sort of cohesive unit at times, but i never expect the entire WB to be active as it's just not going to happen, what i do is keep communicating and try my best to remain positive. After a while people tend to start listening as they see successes or at least enjoyable defeats.
The vast majority of players just want to log in and advance their character, there's plenty of ways to do so and sitting on a BO afk
is 1 of those.
If you want to improve the T1 experience then either form your own WB/Group or try leading. In my experience people will follow if you are not yelling insults and getting angry, give clear, concise directions and accept that afk'ing happens at times, doesn't matter that much if you lose either as it's just a game. We all play to have fun and there are certainly times when the ONLY way to make it fun is to step up and try to lead even though most of us detest doing so.
Heck, tonight i was on my Choppa Bludmaw, we had a large numerical advantage until fairly late on, obviously destro was being lazy, half sitting on BO's collecting ticks, the other half mindlessly zerging the order WC under heavy cannon fire despite repeated asking to attack the Boat. Before long the inevitable happened, Orders came on in force, pushed us back and ALMOST capped, we dropped from a full WB to 10 members as people either quit or logged over to try and leech BO's on their orders, but a few of us stepped up and our combined voices convinced the remaining members to keep at it, after some epic fights and many losses we rushed Boat, took it after a hard fight, then slowly turned it round despite the AAO and capped the zone. I can say for sure the players that stayed were super-happy with how it went and we all made great RR along the way. Now if the 3 of us advocating tactical changes hadn't stepped up like we did, chances are it would have been Orders just sitting on BO's for 3 hrs bored senseless with Destro logged out/realm swapped.
Yes it's not a perfect system, but YOU CAN make a difference, a HUGE difference. It's all about mindset, don't be annoyed by laziness, seek to encourage active playing, if you lead people will usually follow.
