I would also agree with a PTS, as long as it only goes online for a short amount of days to test software or hardware upgrades. I do not believe that the game could handle two servers with the population as small as it is.

I too also support this. But you will all need to keep in mind a PTS might be something not within their small people of resources to support alongside the live server as well, which will need to be upgraded somehow/someday down the road to support the gradual increase/flux of players EU and US.

It's time to bump this.

Given that bugs are still making it to the live server, I feel it's time we had one. We can either have an official one, or I'll have to use my local with Hamachi (as I've had some issues in my attempt to make my own local server a public one.)

Yea maybe a temp small pubblic server used nearly update/big update, just to not make dev take another expensive machine just for it :/

K.I approve of this & will be there aswell :)

As a sidenote, I have a "spare" comp. What would be needed to run the server (without to much of a bottleneck) ?

Doing that gives me logistical problems similar to the ones I have on RoR. I really need to run a debug server locally.

There is always a way.

If you are using windows I could look into a RD solution if that makes it easier for you to access ?

I run the WorldServer in debug mode from Visual Studio. I'm not sure there's a way to do that remotely without making the source code available elsewhere, which I'm not at liberty to do.

I doubt it. Testers should be aware that the server may frequently restart or experience pauses as I fix code. It's a place for those who want to help, not for those who want to see content that is in development.
