Awesome, though sorry for not reporting earlier - probably would've saved some time.

Totally agree with Sigmarpriest, hopefully this will be a lesson to those who keep exploits a secret that in the long run you are **** everyone over.
Also i know this is a silly idea but if its not to much trouble to change an npc name how about adding the names of the players who used the gold exploit without reporting it to the npc's in the stocks at altdorf market area and the cages in inevitable city apex area to shame them lol

Is this a gold wipe for every person on the server? I will admit i have 900 gold that i have made legit selling +12 rings and farming. I really don't want to lose that gold.

why not cap gold just during alpha so gold exploits wont be an issue

Most of that gold is likely exploited though.

I have over 1000g from selling stuff for mad prices. I know most aint legit.

The inflation is due to the exploit and needs to go.

That's why full wipe is needed as gold wipe is just a half-measure.

All exploiters have characters equipped on demi-god level using either duped gold or straightaway exploits and that problem must be solved.

Yay ! Thanks to the devs for adressing this issue. Definetely more reactive than Mythic used to be

May I suggest that the gold wipe would reset every character with a minimum amount of gold, maybe 5 or 10, which is probably what most non-grinding / exploiting people have? This would give people a chance to not loose all their efforts, being able to use flight master after reset and maybe buy a mount? Along with being able to restart the economy by buying from the AH at a fair value.

Anyway I support the devs in their decision.
