I go mostly for Toughness with my Shaman and I think I can handle myself pretty well against Slayers, SWs, BWs etc.

Why so High Initiative?
To stop the Crit peaks?

with 500 ini you can see stealthted WEs pretty often.
950 ini would have to allow you to see through walls :D

Toughness vs Wounds is not just the math: If you are taking a lot of damage fast without much healing, more wounds help you stay alive longer. If combat is more drawn-out with some heals, toughness can be more beneficial for your survivability. You can create "break even" scenarios running the math between the two stats, but that still requires a lot of assumptions.

Note the above basically agrees with what others are saying in this thread, just another way of looking at it.

I think it is also worth nothing that toughness does nothing against pure damage mechanics, like damage from morales, backlash from BS/Sorc (I think), and probably other I am forgetting.

also - if u can reach very high ammount of toughness - near softcap, you will notice the effect, if u can reach only medium levels - totally not worth it and u should avoid stacking toughness
