Whats the difference between level 20 blue and purple talismans anyways?
assuming you have ~6 slots to put them in what would the spread be?

Thanks
So the difference is 4 stats per tally
2 slots form wep
~5 from gear
So about 30 stat difference between a full purple setup and full blue talismans. I'd wager to say if you were the type of person who is worried about that... that you would have the time to invest getting them on your character unless you suffer from a bad case of altism.

Woe and most of Rune-Scribbed gear doesn't have talisman slot.

RvR sets should have them, as well as the green lvl 19 vendor gear
SC weapons will account for 2
And T2 RvR inf ring should have 1 as well.

I hated the system b/c it favors those who are rich, and those who grind and will result in twinks
A feature I hate in pretty much every mmo and results in detrimental effects to balance
Take ap regen pots for example that item singly made it so that a lot of abilities like ap cost increasers and ap boost/ap regen abilities where never specd in late game
Class balance is a singluar aspect that should be looked at by itself and not from a point of view with a lot of variables like pots and tallies thrown in
I say that rr points other features like compleatly working ws are more important to have that crafting

I think we will have to wait and see how the talisman market turns out, but I believe a modest time investment for anyone will be enough to fill out your character in at least blues.
The only thing this is going to really hurt are people who play many characters and don't have a lot of time to devote to the game in comparison, but this kind of problem was on live as well as many other games. I think if you aren't going to have a lot of time to put into this game, but still really want to enjoy it and stay "competitive" you will need to narrow down the characters you play on to only one.

nalgol wrote:i'm currently working on crafting culti apo talis scavange and talisman slotting are coded now and work we need bug fixing and exploit finding on those though
the bigger issue is we need to fix a ton of items in the db before it will fully work at least we got some helpers to do that so my dev time isn't used for that
This morning I was able to slot and fuse a +2 STR tali from basic INF reward.
Not that impressive I know but the mechanism is in the game.
Many of the tali dropped by mobs are not recognized as "talisments" and cannot be added to weapon/armor, confirming the comment that the "database needs to be cleaned up".
Great job Nalgol
