Rune of battle it's still a good ability, but the direction of the dmg should be looked at no the position of its recipient doesn't matter and it counts the RP as the source so even if RoB is behind enemy lines the block and disrupt chance is counted from the location of the RP.
Put it on the bug tracker as to my knowledge the centre of origin for PBAoEs should be the person who the ability came from. Due to how complex this ability is it might be that it was overlooked and is counting as a PBAoE on the Rune Priest. I think the AM has a similar ability and that one too might be affected.
Extended battle this tactic has been reworked completely and I believe it have been nerfed to oblivion, it moved DPS RPs from mid rage, into the front lines with little benefit.
It has been nerfed, but on the other hand the two abilities it buffed will now get significant more powerful (explained below) and the huge area that the RP was able to project debuffs was insane.
The 2 additional procs form RoB are not worth it, and the extended duration of RoC also makes no sense with the new CD reduced on this ability and the change to its uptime.
Rune of Battle is direct damage, so it will proc your lifetap tactic and your healing debuff tactic (granted you don't have the points for both, but whatever). This meant that the Rune Priest could use the Extended Battle tactic to make Rune of Battle a pulsating 35% heal debuff proc machine with a 37.5ft radius and can be cast on an ally up to 150ft away. I'm not sure how many people realise Rune of Battle does direct damage which means it can proc everything.
Rune of Cleaving was able to project both an armour debuff and now also an elemental debuff in a 60ft cone when you used the Extended Battle tactic. That's a bit much especially considering what is apparently the meta of BW/WL combos. The extended duration lets you use GCDs for other things instead of refreshing that DoT when it runs out, and the shorter cooldown lets you apply it to more targets at once and makes it a bit more forgiving if you somehow miss everyone (we've all been there...).
Now on to the Grimnir’s Fury, this ability is not worth it at all, 2 dmg procs in a melee range with 1 sec cast, it pales in Comparison with Winds of Insanity utility, versatility and efficiency.
Grimnir's Fury is also direct damage, so those two pulses are also two chances to proc the heal debuff or lifetap on everyone hit.
The Rune Priest now has triple overlapping direct damage PBAoEs: Rune of Battle pulsing, Grimnir's Fury's second pulse on top of non-stop Rune of Might spam. It is an absolute proc monster and with good crit that heal debuff should be up on everything all the time, or you should be triggering insane amounts of lifetap healing from it.
For comparison, the Winds of Insanity change meant the Zealot lost it's ability to overlap two direct damage PBAoEs and took a massive hit to damage. The utility of WoI is better yes, but remember the healing was mostly added because before the change to a channel the Zealot could use heals during WOI. The ability is - in my opinion - worse than it was before.
It's even weaker than the Waves of Chaos tactic, or two uses of Rune of Might.
This ability if it's supposed to be dps one, needs a significant boost or overhaul.
Waves of Chaos is not direct damage and it cannot crit, therefor it cannot proc a thing.
Based on the PTS with a "BIS" Zealot, one GCD will let me do Grimnir's Fury which deals 2 lots of 229 damage (458 in total) with twice the procs. One GCD of Rune of Might does 310 damage and only a single chance of proccing. Grimnir's Fury looks pretty good to me if you are able to set it up properly, and personally I like that it takes a bit of skill and timing to use effectively.
In terms of ST changes i feal they don't change nothing for RP, since they still make RP a stationary caster with it's 2sec cast times, with little way to expedite it.
Pretty much, although one nice thing is that new players attempting to do some PVE might not take 10 minutes to kill an NPC anymore (I am exaggerating slightly...)
Boon of Tzench a nice step up, but still this ability with its 2s cast while stationary will not be utilized much.
Scourge dps increase a welcome since this ability can become instant
Mirror of Madness a copy “pasta” of RPs rune of fate, significant improvement, shame thou its mirroring again and not anything unique.
Waves of Chaos, it became a potent tactic with the change to procs, when it gained additional main stat scaling synergies, now I would advocate to look at its scaling again with the new mastery investment bonuses.
Until Waves of Chaos gets to be treated as direct damage like all the other GTAoE stuff and allowed to crit, it will be pretty worthless in the big scheme of things. It has always been great for leeching in funnels though. It was for a very long time bugged and counted as DD and could crit and it was then really good.
