The easy answer is that none of the time we spend here is worth it. It's a complete waste of time. However, we no longer need to hunt, wage war with the neighboring tribe, nor craft our own weapons to defend ourselves. So, we play games to fill the time. They are the proxy to our true nature. I myself would rather wage war against my enemies, take many wives, and die free fighting a cave bear, but modernity is what it is

Well since it's a game.. all ur losing is ur own time. Is the fun you have or don't have worth that time. If answer is no, then wasted time. If answer is yes then didn't waste hence was worth it.

Classes got nerfed, classes go buffed, all in all there are still no "can't play anymore" classes.
I got you, there were some comfort zones poeple were moving in for years and they are gone now, makes things more difficult, but there are no unplayable classes, if you all want, you could play your beloved characters.
If you go into sc or rvr you will see, there are still sorcs/bw killing in a 10sec frequence... and there are still sorcs/bws running into your sword and die without guard and heal.
If you go into sc or rvr you will see, there are still SH that are as tanky as an IB on steroids... and there are still SH trying to KABOOM you away even if you are on immunity.
If you go into sc or rvr you will see, there are still tanks that let you feel you don't have a weapon equipt... and there are still tanks without feeling the urgent to get some toughnes or wounds.
Whats bad regarding balancing is taking away uniqueness, and I'm talking about mechanics, things that make a class worth playing even if they are not the meta rn, not "booohooo, I can't go full dps and be as tanky as a rock", thats not uniqueness, thats overpowered.
Give people a reason to play their class, repair pets, make sm feel like they are dancing through the enemy, make sorc/bw feeling they melt/freeze through their enemys.

Wait, I translate that text for you guys: "All is fine since I play Order and we play ranged anyway lul."
Stop hijacking his thread to pretend all is well when we all know it's not just some random guys leaving over miniscule changes.
I personally don't run in Zorbs warbands but I agree: Without him and Kaktos it will be yet another very important cornerstone of the game gone. Bootaz have called it, now this.
And you guys still pretend it's not an issue. Just lol.

It's always bad if people leave, nothing to say her, and thats an issue.
And I understand if people leave cause they have no more trust in things getting better, and with changes like barriers in sc, disfunctional mechanics etc, I fully understand this. With best intentions, I hope OP and a lot of others will consider coming back at some time.
I'm just worried about all this: my class is nerfed to the ground, can't play it anymore, melees are useless now...
People are living in a bubble, and telling everyone around them how bad everything is, and other people take up this issue "Woooah you know what, we cant play anymore cause xyz..." and this is a spiral going downwards.
But it's good you know me and feel comfortable enough to tell others what and how I play!
I play all archetypes, I played both realms recently. Beside a significant drop in players nothing changed, there are not hundreds of dps zealots/rp, there are a lot of meleedps and it must be a miracle, but they survive in battles! Sorcs/BW still bursting good damage. If I would have been away for a month without knowing what happend, I wouldn't even notice directly.

What if the devs listened to the community?
All these feedback threads, I wonder why they don't?
Is their vision greater than the community, what happens to the game when the population continues to reduce?
I remember a post on the forums back in 2016 or 2017, by one of the lead devs at the time, that stated what the player want, or don`t want, doesn't matter, as it is their game, not ours, and they didn`t care if people played or not. I played live from launch in 2008, to server shutdown, and here on and off since Jan 2016, but I think I`ll be taking a long break as well, I`ll check back in 6 months, and see how the game is then.
Sorry to hear m8, but i don't blame you.

At this moment, the RoR developers should mobilize all their forces and take action, at least making it clear to the community that they hear us and understand the whole situation that has developed around RoR, otherwise the number of players will continue to fall.

Gruf on strike
this is a hit ... Bootaz and Grufrip stop play actively? ror is loosing the best guild in game, the one that probably really achieved all the goals of organized play and community, has been a landmark for the destro, this is a sad day for ror.
So what did happen?
