Personally I like to take flame arrow and Bullseye instead of wrist slash but asw is so much fun to play. (Unless you enjoy mindless zerging)

Any specific item gear for the assault stuff? I never really tried that spec and maybe it will be fun for solo roaming instead of my knight.

Mine is not full bis yet but (missing ranked jewel and few sov pieces) but my end goal is to have 6pc tri and 3pc off sov. You can also use 4pc off sov for that armor buff since it gets doubled. Can also use 6pc tri + 3pc wl for max dmg spec.

I think besides the 4pc off sov the gearing looks identical to ranged sw.

Yeah I generally run the 4 defensive sov, rest Triumph when solo. If in a group and well supported 6 offensive Sov, the rest Triumph is probably best unless you want full glass cannon with Warlord.

What about Tactics Bullseye or Sinister Assault or is Wrist Slash better one?

They should throw people into jail for playing SW without Bullseye, especially with +50% crit damage tactic.

Bullseye is best as Scout or Skirmish main, still decent as Assault but way riskier, imo. I use it from time to time. Sinister Assault is best with a WW SM, outside of that it's just not nearly as useful compared to other tactics.

Bullseye is fine as Assault spec, it's just a riskier tactic coupled with a riskier spec. I use Bullseye myself sometimes, just depends on what sets I'm running and if I'm solo or not. Bullseye is a mainstay, imo, in either ranged specs though.

For assault, where do people spent their renown points on?

Crit seems important, as aSW can be quite burst and can choose from 2 tactics to amplify crit damage. Futile strikes feels important, as the game is so crit heavy, but then that doesn’t leave much for parry?

How strongly do people feel about parry, or even stacking initiative, with renown points?

It´s easy if you have rr80 characters that you haven´t touched over 3-4 years. Many changes have been made over the time.
