God i would love this idea. In a real battle people wouldnt be able to run with full speed up in each others asses. It would make solos and 6 man groups life easier because they could actually run away from the blobs or harass the blobs with hit and run tactics. Maybe this debuff would be be active within a radius of the keep to not make taking keeps harder.

I misread Your post.
My point was based on assumption playing around warband number. There would be no point to use abbilities that atm are effective multi target healings spells if its effectivnes would be reduce "only" to party.
(Normal cast)Eov/FoG would be not that effective as grp heal.
That's why I wrote earlier to enhance their effect, since they will only go to the party.

Buffs and debuffs are not a good solution.

It would be better to introduce RD and a weaker version of Odjira (about 30%) to the game.
Then smaller groups would have a chance to get out of the fight and escape through the blob.

Most of the players that are still playing are fine with the current state of the game that they created.

The game is war, concentrating your force is standard military planning.

It is worth noting that, in the real world, concentrating your forces is something that is done for only short periods of time due to supply issues (hard to get logistics into a single spot to feed everyone), movement issues (hard to get that may people to move quickly) and health issues (mo' people, mo' poo).

Maybe we could introduce a dysentery system into the game. That would literally accomplish the goal of making it feel bad to blob. ;)

Delete warband option or even party on rvr :) that would be pure war.

First way is to reduce rewards. Renown shouldnt be only splited but also reduced if killed player is highly outnumberd.

On the other hand full bis parties who camping warcamps wouldnt care.

So the second solution is opposite of LOTD. Small grps away from blob should have boosted stats basing on aao na grp size.
