This doesn't feel like a real problem that needs addressing besides what's already been done. Of all the things that newbies have trouble with, there are about 5000 issues that need to be addressed before this--and most of those could be addressed much more easily and with much more benefit to new players.

Seems like a easy fix, just block their creation possibility. They are only for scam purposes, no real value other than that.

They are most certainly needed when raising your Apothecary skill level.
If they were disabled, people would have to level it up with either heal or AP potion materials which they'd have to know in advance to Cultivate with.
If they don't, they will have to regrind those specific seeds for all lvl brackets (i.e. lvl 1 seed, lvl 25, lvl 50, etc.).

You can not disable 5 min potions. They are a pre step potion that you make without any extender. They are many things. Budged mass produced potion only made with the main ingredient and all those Cultivating Byproduct stabilizers.Cheap Apo leveling pots. Or a way to get rid of Culti stabilizer paste without just deleting it stack by stack. They are for when you want to go into RvR with pots but not with max pots when you just want to see if RvR is worth on that moment, like tipping your toe into water to see if it is not cold.(in terms of RVR: to blobby or to much WElfs in every corner and sideroad of praag).
The main problem about 5 min potions is that they share the same cooldown like the 30/60 min ones. 5 min armor pots and 5 min Stat potions should have their cooldowns reduced from the shared 2 min cooldown to something in relation to the 2 min on the big 30/50 min pots, so that it would be first off possible to switch 5 min lasting stat pots on the fly with only something like a 20 sec CD on taking another pot, so that you could drink a 5 min resistances pot mid fight when you gulped down a 5 min toughness pot 1 min ago.
The price you would pay for having such low cooldown on the 5 min pots would be that you have to use one every 5 min to keep them up.

Make 5 min potions BoP - if people want them so bad, they can make them themselves without subjecting the rest of us to Auction House Spam.

At this time, there are no plans to remove 5 minute potions from the game.
A naming adjustment has already been implemented to help reduce confusion and prevent situations like this. If issues continue after that change, it ultimately comes down to players taking a moment to read the item description carefully before purchasing.
The system itself is functioning as intended.

I think that the main problem with those potions is that 5 minutes are just way too short of a duration.. What would be the most common use case for these?
In some PvE cases they don't survive the whole boss duration.
In PvP, they won't even last the whole scenario duration.
What could be interesting is making them at least 10 minutes or make them not have a long cooldown, so that maybe you can switch them on the fly based on your needs?
