When I got banned I started a thread asking what I did. They closed it and told me I should pm staff. I Pm'd staff no reply on why I was banned. 100% sure its because I called someone a retard even though I've seen 3 staff members do the same but they have the power so it's working as intended. Can't bring it up here because people get exposed.

It's a pretty simple procedure followed by most forums to prevent false accusations from being posted, where they will be believed by conspiracy theorists, and applies to both players and staff.

Nothing more, nothing less.

But is it actually false? :)

A lot of the times I don't say what I see or hear because I'm afraid of being blacklisted by devs/gm's. I feel like you guys already don't like me enough, do I really want to make enemies.

Welcome to the world. Any idiot with a grudge can make up a tall story and be believed, simply because developers and GMs represent some kind of authority on the server and people would LOVE to believe that they have flaws and that they're corrupt. That, or the ridiculous notion that "there's no smoke without fire", one of the most stupid idioms ever to come into the language, is used as a justification.

There's no way of stopping it, and if you want to buy into toxic rumours spread by people holding grudges over actions taken against them, then that's your prerogative. God knows there are enough people on the server who have thrown fits both public and private over being banned for something - not to mention that their guildmates become enemies as well, because their guild associations will almost always matter more to them than common decency and justice. However, our policy on the forums remains that such issues be PMed to the person who leads the team of which the person you take issue with is a member.

Now, if players can come up with solid proof of staff or player misconduct, that's different. But I won't tolerate baseless rumours being spread.

I think the virtues for not allowing accusations and name shaming to be public are so obvious they don't even need to be explained.

The only reason for making accusations publicly would be an attempt to embarrass or discredit a fellow player in the court of public (server) opinion. If you believe someone is actually cheating, the people who are going to do something about it aren't your fellow players, it's the devs/gm staff. They are the ones who need to know.

Anyone who kills me is cheating, anyone I kill it's because of skill.

You want proof! I'LL SHOW YOU PROOF! This photo evidence shows an unnamed developer from RoR physically beating a poor helpless and beloved by all member of our undeniable victimized and oppressed RoR gaming community. We need to stand up! We need to let the Dev's know that we will no longer stand for them mercilessly picking on us and profiling against us and abusing their authority! The person being brutally assaulted by the dev never did nothing to nobody, ever and is totally innocent of everything!
Spoiler:

For real though. The RoR staff has been working tirelessly for the last few years to bring us back our beloved WAR and they have done a damn good job. I highly doubt Dev's or any other staff has the time or the desire to intentionally ban people for no reason or treat people unfairly because of some alleged power lust. If you have an issue with a Dev or anybody hash it out calmly and rationally and don't start hate campaigns to try to hurt members of the community. Super simple stuff. Just be a good person.

This wasn't intended to be a witchhunt we'd just like to know what is being done to prevent something we see as an issue. I apologize if negative vibes ensued. What is true of a part is not true of the whole. All you devs are doing a great job but you're supposed to remove cancerous parts, not let them flourish.
