Multiple dupes, exploits and even the killquests up until now pumped money into the playerbase. Reducing the gold gain only hurts new players or not-yet-rich players. There is no real goldsink in the game, flying is canceled out by killquests, meaning players will still keep their money and inflation is only reduced, not stopped.

That being said, I don't think this issue should overshadow the work you've done. Thank you very much
+1 its one step forward two step back. So much work and confusion for a thing that wasn't broken in the first place. Completely unnecessary change and devs reasoning for it is pure bollocks too.

"You shouldn't be able to get as much xp/gold in lower tiers because... you shouldnt, even though it's healthy for the game"

"M-MUH progression"
Except it's not. The 'new players won't make any gold' argument is laughable in the face of knowing that the old players have already farmed hundreds of gold out of the exponential gains of the killquests, while new players will probably not have been able to farm enough to get to a similar, decent amount of gold. Continuously letting an exponential gold generation be allowed, while it's being pumped into an already gold-satisfied market, will only increase inflation and make crafting necessities such as materials, potions and talismans even further out of reach from them.

There is already a difference in the amount of gold you make per tier, which is there intentionally. You will make more gold as you go through the tiers, to cover flight expenses, low-tier talisman and potion costs. Allowing T1 players to gain 8 gold in a run doing T3 quests, while T3 players get the same amount, simply shouldn't be happening. They will have to do the T1 quests, for T1 rewards. It's as if you were to award people T3 influence for being in a T1 RvR lake.
This thing was never about gold in the first place but XP, you could've simply adjust the gold rewards.

Talking seriously - see no problem in gold wipe. Warhammer is one of few games, where gold means nothing. Right now prices in AH for purple 31 weapon are from 600 - 1000 g. And it is selling from time to time. I can't imagine, who really can collect such gold amount from killing quests )

I get mine from tally farming and buying cheap brigands and selling them for higher.

On live I would get it via armor pots :)

Reducing gold rewards without wiping gold doesn't make any sense. The poor will get poorer, the rich will get richer.

A small amount over a long period of time adds up. I guess putting 5% of your salary aside to pension is pointless too, since it's only a small amount each month.

And gold does mean something. Pots, respecs, BiS purples, and talismans. How can you say any of those don't matter, when they clearly do? They increase your stats. This is a stat-based game.

Crafting.. farming... lucky drops. They all add uo. Make deals. Put stuff on ah for three gold... it sells all the time. If gold doesn't matter... then I ll vote to keep mine thanks.

I just want to point out that we never prohibited speaking Russian in advice chat and that people are still allowed to do so.
We don't want to force segregation, it's just an option.

- 6% not 5% ))
- you can craft tali and make pots by yourself, you can ask you guild comrades. Any way - there are several much more profitable ways to have the same amount of money at the same time. Right now I am selling green stuff in AH and even have no place to put new one. Every 2-3 hours I receive 2-4 Gold from auction, doing nothing... Some one killing mobs for blue and purple tali or helping small player to rise a level and receive tons of silver... So in the rate of "gold in hour" - kill quests are not the most profitable thing at all.
- no one canceled kill quests reward at all - just a little decrease.
- who sad, that the game should be easy?

85% reduce is not little ;)
