From my view the apperance changes are great. Sunday prime time we had some big fights battlehost vs battlehost and the performance was clearly much better than before.

I for one think the 'disguising appearance' advantage in RvR was game breaking and am glad with these changes tbh. How can you be unhappy about a change that will bring an even playing field back to RvR? Perhaps you have been gaining an unfair advantage with your appearance items in game.

Yes, exactly. I was roaming on my lowbie toons and some rr80 exploited their appearance to kill me.

I hope this is not serious. I am just baffled. But to each his boogeyman.

Alternate appearance is not a hindering factor when considering chances of winning - those are the class in question and skill of an individual player, not how they look like. Player skill IS NOT reflected by how player's "real" gear looks. Seeing "real" opponent armour has little to do with the tactics one should be employing to win 1vs1: no other situation calls for seeing "power level" of your opponent. And as we all know this game is not balanced around 1vs1
