Feels a bit odd to have an opinion on stuff that we have no clue how they work

Anyone else tested this?

I'd actually be suprised if defenders reduction didn't reduce attacker crits or for example if reduced chanse to be disrupt wouldn't reduce defenders disrupt etc

But you never know

It doesn't reduce the attackers chance to crit. It reduces your chance to be crit. Just like Offensive crits increase your chance to crit hit and not increasing the defender chance to be crit.

But like I said, im goin on whats been said on these forums in the past. I might be wrong, but considering i see BW attacks on my Shaman, that is at a negative crit chance, having 80% crit rates. I very much doubt so. But could be tested for more accurate narriative for sure.

on live you can get crit chance below zero, and for PVE you need it as MT

Getting to be crit chance below zero only reduces your chance to be crit if you get hit by a iniative debuff.

Then it should be on bugtracker imo and a huge reason why crit/crit damage tacs overperform

(I'll verify this myself 2nite first)

I remember me and Leaky (I think. Was a SH atleast) tested it last summer. I boosted chance to be crit to -6 , he used only Spike Squig for crit boost, 5%, and I still got crit after aroound 5-6 hits.

It was discussed on this forum in some thread and I think Aza come into the discussion and confirmed that anti crit couldn't reduce attackers chance to crit, only defenders chance to be crit, wich caps at 0. But can't remember wich thread. And almoast a year ago so details are a bit vauge.

No definitive answer was given though.

Going by Bruglirs post it should (wording and formulas are saying the same)

base + attacker - defender = crits
you then add any crit chance modifiers from the attacker, and subtract any crit chance reduction the defender has:
Example BGs FOF makes no sense at all if this is not the case

Also your base crits typically sits around 10 add 14 from renown and what we get (24)? That happens to be the exact number you get from full crit reduce. (Insert twilight music)

Lastly I've read enough TB vs FS analysis back in the days to know they both was viable even tho TB won when crits got crazy (DW/WF + lotd crap). A lot of order actually promoted FS back in SOV endgame
