It can clear six challenges... if they are taunting you out... oh well. By the time they see animatiin you have hit them all four times anyways
Not to mention set backs and letting go of it mid channel to drop cs and an aa in same time stamp.

So, this only reaffirms my point that this ability seems decent for killing PUGs. Detaunt+taunt in group vs. group play takes away the viability for me.

Whirling axe is a tool. Not a high damaging abiliy. I struggled to understand why a meh ability would be so high. Then I started paying attention to how powerful a challenge really is. The quickest easiest way to remove it is wa. Pop it... clear challenge. Hop on healer. You just increased your damage by thirty percent. Premades won't let you hit them from behind either so your point in using a ten second ability once per minute is just as moot by your own logic.

PF still seems to me the most viable for group play. Getting one's back is less challenging than having the ability you rely on interrupted and having to start over.
But like you said, to each his own.

I am returning on my WL after having reached max lvls on my AM and SW.

But I completely suck at it.
I was not too bad before but now, I sometimes feel like I'm an enemy healer as I don't manage to kill anything...
I'm Hunter/Axeman spec (FO; and I wait for 32 to take PF). I specced renown in STR and crit (683/9% with TTT)
I'm solo and so play mainly in SCs. Even when we are facing a premade destro group, I'm still "worse" than the rest of order mdps.
I don't intent to top the charts but would like to know what is so wrong with me :s

Well u need to know that pet's damage arent taken into consideration in the SC summary, so your dps in numbers is not your actual dps.

I don't really care about figures, but when I check my logs, it is somehow ashaming.
It's just that when I hit someone, I don't really do that much damage. Maybe something wrong with my rotation : Cleave limb/shattering blow/force opp/lion's fury/pack assault/coordinated strike + pet on TTT mode.
My tactics are brute force/pack synergy/discerning offense

why not pack hunting?
