What are the new things you'd get between rr40 and rr80 other than an extra 40 renown points?

More grind. It'd be cool to hear the bad reasoning behind reducing renown gain. I won't argue or comment about it further, just want to hear it.

They wanted to roll out new renown ranks with each new set of gear and content (forts/city stages etc...). But one of the biggest complaints was lack of purple/rr since you can hit 40 in 2 days of keep defenses. This is a compromise? I'm sure once forts are out the 25% kneecap will be moved to rr50+

It's a temporary carrot on stick to keep people interested in doing ORvR while it's in the state it is now I guess. Pretty sure most nerds could hit 80 in a week or two without the 75% reduction.
