I was one such person. I admit it. Thought I was coming back to the "glory days" of WAR but time had taken the sting out of the frustration of BW Bomb groups and the frustration of horrible optimization and balance - you only remember the good times it seems. It takes a mindset change, at it's core, to have the realization that the people who are working on this game are just that, people. As such, there are going to calculated and measured steps to try and improve the game. Some are going to be "good" and some are going to seem "broken". We must all face the reality that in order to improve the game, there will be long periods of torment on both sides. Growing pains so to speak. Once this reality sets in for those active players, the process may go smoother than it is now as the DEV team won't be dealing with knee-jerk reactions to untested unproven changes by impatient players.

Sorry, I didn't want to complain, just expressed my opinion. I know that any kind of complaining, arguments and whining won't help. Sadly

As a Chosen Main I agree that not having to use a GCD to "twist" auras in this game is a nice change of pace; however, I see all the shortcomings of the class as well. I will not go into a "buff" Chosen tirade here but I will say that the goal of balance in RoR seems to be different but equal. As such, I would hope you and I could both agree that taking the Mythic approach of using the Nerf-Bat on classes is not the answer; rather, the classes not equal are buffed to equal, but different. Noone want mirrored classes, the variety and challenges of each class are part of what is great about this game. So I say Buff those that are weak to the level of those who are greater. BTW on your BG you do benefit from those, to quote you, "bullshit" auras.

Thank you for pushing an agenda, but there are a whole host of changes that I omitted and those were just a selection.

why we are again forced to play only in 1 zone? it is so boring to fight 4-5 hours in one zone and no one can take keep! How log we must be there, if no one can take keep?

I think what Chaoselfa means is that the RvR isnt the same as it was the last year of Live.
On Live you had allot of opportunitys for smaller scale fights around BO's/certain routes.
In RoR its just one big zerg fest where everyone is blobbed together without the need of spreading out.
Its been like this for a long time now.
Atleast RvR state of last 1-2 years of Live worked well.
Cant say that about RoR.
Also, the devs should work a bit on growing some skin instead of getting offended the moment someone disagrees with them.

Agreed

I understand that for some people the definition of epic is this 1 zone only zerging, and thats fine.
I can also understand if you want to encourage a certain play style over others, as long as you leave a choice.
But the recent changes pretty much make anything else impossible....its like saying
No, you cant go to underpopulated zones looking for some smallscale skirmish, and forget orvr after certain (peak) hours

Once again, if you want to zerg, that's fine , and you should have every right to do so.
But it shouldn't be the only option

You in particular need to be very careful when it comes to picking fights, because you've been treading on thin ice for a while now, and it's starting to crack. The OP gave me nothing to work with. He offered nothing beyond "I don't like change", and the only parts of that post that were directed at all were against balance changes, and even THEN it was just whine, about how they're "useless" or "crazy". Nothing about RvR was mentioned in the OP. Do not criticise me for responding to it in the manner that it deserved.

Regarding RvR: read and understand the damn posts in the guide sections. This is a work in progress. It's been out for about 4 days. It's so boring seeing people coming in here thinking they know it all after a few days, and not giving me any chance to refine. You're getting zerged, or being allowed to zerg? It means people aren't using cannons. If you refuse to use the tools given to you specifically to punish zerg (for whatever reason you have) and would rather come onto the forum and complain within 4 days of release, then don't expect me to listen to you either.

That said, there are multiple issues remaining in the current system, that are due to be patched. Siege weapons have ten times as much HP as they should, and AoE cannons have too restrictive a height limit. If players aren't incentivized to spread out, we can tweak mechanics further by making them dynamic based on playercount. But the most important thing is to have some patience. I'm almost left with the feeling that I'm being too good now, because I'm presenting myself on the forum and making changes as quickly as I am able and posting huge warnings in the notes for calibration issues and I'm still getting people coming here and judging systems as if they were final in the first one or two iterations, and it tests my patience like nothing else does. Issue criticisms by all means but do not act as if I am trying to promote zerging and as if this is the last edition.

Also: there is no "one zone lock" as you understand it. You can cap in other zones, feel free. What you can't do is deploy any siege there or take any keeps. Since your "small skirmish" shouldn't involve taking keeps anyway, then go and have a ball in another zone, I'm not stopping you.

I agree somewhat. There was some cool fights the last years on badlands. That being said, the Euro population here feels much much bigger then what was the total population live in them 2 last years. I cant remember soon after the RR100 patch seeing 500 players in T4, 3-4 WB on each side. NA time feels more like deadbeat live imo with them 200 players.

Another thing is (watching some live footage), as RR90-100 premade, ''small skirmish'' really meant we could face 12-24 man+ pug WB head on and win the fight for a BO straight in the open field with a mdps heavy 6 man. Here, you mostly cant. You can sometimes kite away, but you can't jump in and win in open field vs a WB. So a lot of premades tend to go rdps heavy and fight at keeps to gain positional advantage. Hence the impression of a bigger funnel which has not much to do with RvR changes but more with a less incredible discrepancy in gear gap (its my impression at least).

Dunno if i'm saying this right... English is hard sometimes...
