That's what I do as engineer but taking one down only works when i catch on off guard, otherwise they just heal till i run out of action and dot me. Shaman, DoK's etc

Guys, this problem is not new.
SHAMAN and AM have always been OP in the lower third T1 to T3 (with or without mechanical class bug).
We can always hope for a nerf of these classes but away from the original game ...
A good assist and it falls!

PS: sorry for the English

Hello, here are my two cents about shamans/AMs.

Do they deserve a nerf? Is it worth it to tweak the spell values to fit the server? I really think not.

Let's start with a brief comparison with other classe (I'll use 3 examples so we can relativise) :

-Shadow warrior :
number of usable abilities : 6
The sws are in a good state: the class is playable, they do huge damage, they are good in groups and quite fun in solo.
Among the 6 abilities there is "brutal assault" wich does big damage and can be used anytime while on retail you had to be flanking to use it.

-Marauder :
number of usable abilities : 1 (5 half working)
It's sad but the only working button (almost 100%) is "axe throwing", the weak range spammable. Among all others, I count 5 buttons doing some damage. But because the marauder requires a lot of scripting, it is atm in the lowest tier of all classes.

-Sorceror :
number of usable abilities : 5
With 5 working spells the sorcerer is not that bad, furthermore if you compare with other classes. The damage is quite high but its ofc way under what the sorcerer can pull with 5 buttons and a working class mechanic. Among those 5 abilities, one is bugged : "shattered shadows". It does huge point-blank aoe damage. The sorcerer is a very good aoe farmer.

And now the moment we were all waiting for :

-Shaman/Archmage
number of usable abilities : 10 (!)
Those abilities includes :
-2 dots ( one being a healdot for shamans )
-3 different heals, all working
- an absorb shield
-bunch of waaagh/searing touch
- a rez (give AM rez please!!!!!!! I play mainly destro but do it for the fun!!!!)
As we can see they are having a very balanced set of abilities : sustained damage, burst damage, a protection and heals & support. Add the fact that they don't rely on class mechanics to be playable and you have my idea of sham/am: they are the most working classes, way ahead of others, with more usable abilities.

"QQ Bunch of waaagh is so OP!! The damage as no match in the entire game."

Yes it does 195x6=1170 damage

"Man the damage is crazy!! Its unbearable !!! Nerf Nerf NERFFFF !!!!111! IT WASUN LIEK DIS ON RITEIL!!!"
Well... after watching hours of shitty shamans doing a poor shaman job on youtube I can only come to one conclusion: the damage of BoW/ST on RoR is very close to what the damage of BoW/ST was on retail. I mean it. This spell was really hitting 6 times for damage equal to brain bursta's and the channeling was continuing whatever the distance with your target was. Sorry guys. I may be wrong but you will have to prove it.
If damage is not the problem then why BoW/ST is so op?
I have different, factual, answers:
-It is not using AP
-It is not mitigated: one of the big unbalances.
-You can't detaunt it. An other big problem.
-no spell pushback/interrupt : for me the biggest problem.

On a more positive note now I'd like to finish by saying that there are other classes that are playable and really enjoyable at the moment. Wich hunters are out of control too, and I must admit they are a lot of fun. Maybe the best 1v1 class in the current game. People keep rolling more chosens and more and more black orcs and even more and more an more ironbreakers... but almost nobody is rolling the tanky tank, broken as **** and completely unkillable: the swordmaster. People should stop crying for every little thing and start playing the game. A well played runepriest is also a beast. Engineers and squig hunters are a lot of fun! Being small with range attack is nice!

What about nerfing am/sham to change the game as it is now. U shaman lovers offer to wait another year until rest of the classes get a fix, i did just offer to nerf sham/am to change the state of pvp to a better one, would be nice to see different classes go and fight, not just waiting for am/sham to play their game.

AM/Shaman were always op in T1. All healers specced for dps were op in t1 just AM/Shaman had the best of it due to dots and the lack of groupcleanse and groupheals in that tier that heavily countered dots in the higher tiers.

It a hard thing to balance a class across tiers and the Mythic devs always said they tried to balance to endgame.

Guess what, T1 is endgame for us, and it might stay like that for months (or forever, who knows).

And AM/Shaman weren't that OP in T1. Any decent Choppa/Slayer could wreck them in seconds. AM/Shaman only started to shine in T2 once they got their snare puddles (allowing them to kite warbands) and Divine Fury tactic. Best classes in T1 by far were DoK and WP.
