Shrug and move on. Or slay those little bastards on sight .. .
That's one way of seeing it. Though it could also be a problem of misplaced pride. Pride is always best reserved for our own accomplishments in life, not eventualities we had no control over to begin with. Totally philosophical argument though, and people IRL don't seem to have time for that kind of thing these days.

Breaking news: Skin color, nationality and what supernatural powers someone believes in, doesn't make him/her a good or bad person. It's whether you are an asshole or not...

When people try to offend, they rarely want to offend themself.
Behind the wall of the internet its creates what is called the online disinhibition effect. This is the 'you can't see/hear me, I can't see/hear you so you're not real' psychology. We underestimate the effect body language and changes in voice tone can have on how we interface with others. Companies come down hard on anything that could be deemed offensive because it feeds into this cycle that you don't need to have normal social conventions online. What this inevitably leads to is the usual chaos you get on social media and cyber-bullying. Its a real big deal to mmos which is why they hit it hard.
True, but my post wasn't about the internet.
It was more about this:

People think when they belong to something "special", it makes them stronger. In reality they hide behind something that only exists in their heads and it makes them weaker as an individual.
This wouldn't be so bad, when there wouldn't be others that take the "special" thing to easily manipulate those people.
Or in other words: It's very hard to manipulate 1000 individual people, but gets very easy if you find something they all share, fear, believe in or belong to.
For example war: http://de.wikiquote.org/wiki/Hermann_G%C3%B6ring
If you take this quote and look at the world atm, nothing has changed; it's true that history always repeats itself.

Theres already a section in the emu for words not allowed in names. I expect when the games abit further along the will ban alot of names.

True Talk:

If a name on a screen genuinely upsets you, maybe it's time to re-evaluate that "thing" you call a life.

If you don't stand for something. You'll fall for anything.
