What kind of builds are good for a "dps" RP? I know its more of a DPS/Support rather than all out DPS, but the good abilitys seem scattered over all 3 trees.......
Yeah that's the problem with DPS RP/Zealot (and heal spec to a lesser extent) - the trees are an absolute mess. For solo DPS RP you'll want Rune of Fate, Efficient Runecarving, Rune of Burning and Immolating Grasp from middle tree, and Rune of Battle from right tree. Tactics are Divine Fury, Efficient Runecarving, Immolating Grasp and then dealer's choice for the 4th slot. As an alternative you could take the Rune of Nullification heal debuff in the left tree instead of Rune of Battle.
WB-scale focussed DPS RP has suffered two big nerfs - one as a result of BWs being so overtuned, and the other as a result of DPS DoK/WPs being complained about so hard a few months back. This meant that DPS RPs lost their AoE healdebuff and AoE Elemental resistance debuff so they're now pretty much dead for WB-scale play. If you're building a WB with a lot of slayers if might be worth taking a DPS RP for the AoE armour debuff, but it's a very niche setup.

Yeah probably WB focussed, but you have to be in the thick of it pretty much with Rune of Cleaving right with its short range of 40 feet? (or does Extended Battle tactic improve it to 80feet?)
Suspect i'd have to be real tanky to be effective in the slightest.
Shame its such a mess, on paper it looks a real fun class

Bump......
Is this in the right forum section? Will Devs even read it here?
war dude glances at these, but apparently he just scoffs at almost all of them. but to be fair, some of them are outrageous.
Still, brushing all of them off, especially from dedicate players. is foolish.

When we make changes to classes, it's a far more focused affair, and not hodgepodge reactions to the hot forum topic of the week. You guys can make all the noise you want, debate things until the end of time, but if we're not taking a hard look at a specific class, there's not a lot of reason to entertain these discussions with dev feedback on suggestions that get pretty wild at times. The other side of that is the few times that a dev does come in to be part of a discussion, there's some idiot that starts pouring on the salt and ruins the discussion for everyone else. Sure people get warnings and forum suspensions for being disrespectful little assholes, but when it happens every time for months and years, eventually devs just stop bothering. We can gather data and information without engagement with the community. Dedicated players should know better, if you treat us like trash you're not going to have much of a discussion.

Recently I tried solo skirmish dps build. It was decent, although I expected better damage with softcapped intelligence.
RoR.builders - Runepriest
More often than not I changed rune blasting with sundered motion which is one of mine fav tactics although is muuuuch underrated.
On tanks damage is okish cos your main spells are undefendable, on rest feels abit lacking. Rune of fate is kinda must cos u need at least 2 dots to produce some sort of pressure while spamming rune of striking + as finisher one tick of rune of burning.
Most st dps spells need some stats coefficient increase to be relevant while rune of burning imo need some secondary effect cos feel lacking (add ressist debuff while channel? Which will benefit only your dots and the rune of burning itself)
Lastly with that build done much better contribution wise than being healer. It is quite sad that this pitiful dps build gain more than fullstack healbuild
Ah gear wise I used 5opp/2gen/3bl. Hopefully rp "mechanic" allow me to mix heal gear, I brought opp set not for the stats but to manage to use intel/wp talis so I can reach itel softcap. Switching to heal (for cities) without respec is also quite smooth
