Blackguard can spam Monstrous Rending through walls (which hurts with the right setup) and DoK can use Essence Lash through walls to gain more Soul Essence and not have to be in danger of coming close to the enemy. Unless the enemy is spamming attacks back through that same wall

yeah Zealot and Runi can spam the 30 feet circle aoe big dmg inbound

Direct it toward the devs. They can actually do something about it. Besides, most magi (Renork excluded) are derps and do pants for damage, despite playing such a strong class right now.

Should things get fixed to match live? Of course, but this thread is a mess.

I belive we just have to deal with it for much longer because fixing this problem is bigger than some people think

Yes fixing the dmg through walls is extremely complicated afaik.

I write 3D code for a living, I know what is involved.

Basically.

Just have to play around it imo. It's gonna take some times to fix AoE spam through walls or floors. Heck, there are improperly working morales atm as well. Like the Rank 2 morale of physical ranged dps (engy's SH, SW). And people abuse that as well all the time, especially Engy's (Magus don't have equivalent since they're Magic not Physical)

AoE spam isn't the only one, I can't recall the amount of times a SW or Engy would Auto Attack me through walls. I see SHs doing the same thing with pets as well (though there is no real way to not do it).

It's part of the game, as sad as it is, and hopefully will be fixed soon. Just don't take the game too seriously and avoid those people if you see them, if that's your thing.

I have aoed through walls before too. It has been on scenarios where there were slayers or engies aoeing too though. That time that Telen called me out I lol'ed because he had two engies on his team aoeing from beneath the floor so I lashed through the wall. Imo if you heal the people who are aoeing through the walls then you're part of the problem and are as bad as them. Now my numbers come from or I should say used to come from glean + pand + warp + lash. Now, we do not have group cleanse so those numbers may sound high but are easily negated by a group heal. Magi don't have sustained or burst damage. They have decent aoe damage but they need RR to be considered "rdps. Engies have abilities that shouldn't be instant cast and can also shoot while running which they shouldn't be able to. Morale 2 is a lot better for aoeing through walls which is why you see a lot of them around. I don't miss my magi, t2 is a boring place for them.
