i'd still rather see oathstone get turned into something unique, maybe a differently operating version of the bo/sm mid 13pt. channelled like htl, protect allies in a cone behind from hard cc, good counter to gtdc/mara kd/rifl (lol). that way snb warband IB would have an interesting niche as the anti-cc tank
balance IB and make class playable and useful?
no way, rebrand Oath into unknown thing
more pain to dwarf tank, more trash
P.S. all this topic is absolutely useless - devs never heard players and dont change anything in touch with our needs
no test, no survey, no tune up, just force of will one or two unknown person which hear only destro whine
thanks for chipping in, some interesting ideas put forward there

As well would be great to reduce the cost of absorb ability for IB, let us say from 30 to 20 Grudge.
It's still more cost than BG has, cost 15 Hatred for him.
You really don't want to reduce the grudge cost of IB abilities, because "told ya so" efficency will suffer from it, and told ya so is the best tool an IB can bring to a warband.
If you want to "buff" IB, but is more of a qol improvement, you should make IB buffs last longer (like +2secs on 10 seconds buff [crit, parry, runic shield] and maybe +5secs on armor, strenght and toughness buff, since they're useless in rvr, but if they last longer you can maybe find a place for them in your rotation) This will help IB players, both in 6v6 & in orvr, to have a less "crowded" rotation, without making them too strong imho.
Also a better punt would be nice.
Building grudge is not a real problem in rvr nor in 6v6 ( you need to sacrifice a tactic slot for dwarven riposte for 6v6 though)
The one moment when you're going to suffer IB mechanic, is when foes are fleeing, cause you are not building any grudge and probably won't have snb kd proc too, or in "pve" situation like second stage in city.

Man... again with this "IB is unplayable/useless" crap?
Maybe devs are right not listening to every complaing from players, since most of them doesn't takes the time to even try to know their classes

Beside the mechanic, Runic Shield is the biggest slap in the face for IB: Same Value, need to be skilled, double the costs and only for magic damage...
But nothing mentioned here will be in the game, IB don't exist, they will never be changed, and if so not for good.

People seem to forget that BG also gets enraged beating, other solution is to make rising anger 10 per hit. Currently you need 20 attacks to get 100 grudge (take for instance on stage 2 of lord in city) with the tactic. Seems a bit steep, changing it to 10 per hit would at least justify the use of a tactic slot..I think 10 sec is fair when you compare that BG can fill hate with one 3 sec channel. Bg can get crit for more/faster hate and Ib does not have a stat that works with its mechanic like so. IB has incredible ramp up time in some situations and particularly in short fights i find it unpleasant, really I feel like it wouldn’t be so bad if the armor debuff had a low flat cost.

I think this is a great idea and would give the Shield IB something really unique for WB……and it fits with the idea behind the skill.

Float your Oath friend to whoever is getting hit and you'll have all the grudge you'd ever need. Oathfriend is on its own global CD so it's very easy to swap on the go. Maybe make it spammable without a CD at all.
IB is the hardest tank to play in the game. It is also pretty potent at what it does. If auras ever get changed it will be even better.
Yes BG is better because they got Wall of Darting Steel option, although it's expensive. And Chosen Crippling Strikes got exiled which makes Hastened Doom look better as a spreadable aoe debuff to build around.
IB is one of the first tanks built way back, and BG one of the last with the mechanic tacked on. All said I'd love to see IB buffed, it's super fun to play.

BG hasn't had WODS for like 2-3 years?
