Did you really take as an example the switching side for fort made by only one alliance of guilds ?
I agree with @Sulorie, if the dominant faction manages to push to a low pop fort, why the xlream WB should not switch side to prevent the PvDoor and to get a maybe balanced fort ?
If the xrealm didn't really aim to balance RvR, yesterday's primetime would have been terribly boring for Destruction: the Order was made up almost entirely of groups (6-24) of players who could cross-faction . They would have been blocked on the Destruction side by this suggestion, the RvR would have had a whole different flavor.
Maybe HoB should try xrealm, to see both sides of the coin ? Might be interesting to see, since you're coming in mid-late primetime.
Switch before - do some RvR - convenient how lockouts always finish just before fort. Im not against x-realming - just the timings of it and people not admiting the real reasons they want to do it. You could drop the lockout timer if they put in that you needed contri go get in fort. That way warbands could switch at any time they like. Still got the issue of swapping mid keep siege but at least that doesn't lock up the map and kill the game for 20-30 mins.
So what you are suggesting are removing lock outs so there's no need to wait for 2 hrs? That would allow people to relog in the zones before.
But then again can you explain to me why with 20% AAO for destro in Caledor it ended up being a 160 vs 50 fort yesterday?
Hard to imagine, guess it’s same as LoTD but order not losing forts so no need to fix like LoTD

Ill explain to you as I was there in Brodda organised waband. Cal started around 11:30 pm for EU, and fort just past midnight. Those who stayed for keep def logged off because our primetime was over and you know, people wake up in morning and have life. And tbh beside our 24 there were only pug players and some 6mans.
HOB was only playing scenarios or pve.
And what OP wants is just that, no possibility for any wb to relog to the defending faction when those numbers happen.
If they were adamant on defending the fact that when AAO is above 200% you can't log in to x faction or that ORvR works like forts then fine, but this suggestion is ONLY promoting that people stack on one side and play vs the door.
Exactly, see my post above. Xrealm is not issue, the free rewards for joining dominating faction is.

No - serious - I think the chances of it happening when people are logging in are super low compared to the organised mass log to the other side or the I wont take part in rvr till I get a guaranteed easy farm people heading to a fort for an easy defence.
If it happened i'd just do a quick chap 22 then join the next zone. no big issue at all.

Right, so night ends, all organised order wbs disband. You take KV and push fort with 2-3 org wbs. You'd prefer to do a 100v20 fort instead of 70v50?

Id prefer the organised order to not hold hands and all mass log off personally. Prime time getting smaller and smaller and the co-ordinated log off means RvR falls of a cliff. Remember i'm advocating getting rid of the lockout so you can xrealm at will. Just not before a fort yet you seem upset about it.

Maybe because we swap to balance out numbers and avoid pvd? And yes, almost all org order wbs call it between 10-11pm Altdorf. You start 1hr later than everyone else so you have 90 mins of pugs.

My idea allows you to swap at any time. If you swap right before fort you will miss it. You can balance at anytime and do some RvR.
