Just go for it with bg, my only 82 alt. Played it before stats- and ability changes but seems still fun. You are no.1 bodyguard to single players with absorb, elite training etc. It is just not as easy to play cause you have to push more buttons but it is fun and you have an impact.

6. Cleanse M1. BG having access to WH m1 on a tank chassis is very strong imho as it makes you a complete menace to lock down. Combined with the BG's general tankyness, you can do some real insane plays. Not quite as good as the IB free immunities imo, but in turn your CC is stronger.
M1 is good, but there is no room for it because chch as m1 is mandatory for every tank.
M1 cleanse morale should be moved to the m2 slot where other tanks have life-saving morale (BO has weaker ones, but his m2 works for the whole party).

Big overstatement. Cage is far from mandatory. The M1 slot depends highly on the composition you are playing.
If you play a range grp in open, a bad cage will kill you, while a Cleanse will save your life. Even in zerg gameplay the cage is a questionable choice, nowadays the fights are won by whoever spams more aoe and therefore a cleanse might be better for you as a "oh sh*t"- button.

If you play a 6man melee setups, just one tank needs a cage. That's it.

I disagree with you.
Morale has a 1-minute cooldown, so chch should assume two tanks in the party.
In my opinion, it's definitely better than demo + chch.
The only setup where BG can put self cleanse m1 is playing in a 3xrdps composition.

I would definitely prefer BG cleans m1 to be moved to the m2 slot.
Especially since 2h BG is doomed to aoe punt m2, and this way he would have a choice.

Disagree, I think it's situational. Not swapping to cleanse if you're ex. peeling a semi-static RvR position is madness imho. While having it as m2 would def. be *stronger*, I don't think it's useless at all as is.

As BG you're off morale timing anyways, so if anyone is going to play a bit fast and loose with it it's you imo.

it was really strong in 6v6 and so got nerfed into oblivion. looks powerful on paper but in practice you never have the resources to do anything. ib has the exact same issues but is felt to be better because sturdy tanks are far more valued on order, but they both suck. bo is more impactful and chosen more consistent, bg is just weird
