Guard is fine, and you should try to guard choppa/slayer with Power Through/Wot Rules tactic in the middle of the enemy zerg. Only then tyou can say somthn about guard, pen&paper warrior.

I had over 40 days(960 hours) of playing time on tanks in AOR. I did plenty of guarding. One death from guard damage.
It might surprise you to know that the game was designed by people using pen and paper. I don't know where you think all those numbers in the combat log come from, but I'll give you a hint that it has something to with maths and calculations.

It's pretty obviously that you never did what i told about, because you have no idea about guarding. SM solo-player-parrytard can't know anything about proper guarding. Leave guard alone, play in game, not in "Suggestion" subforum. Gl hf.

Playtime doesnt prove anything. Just that you spend a certain amount of time, doesnt prove experience and knowledge.
The game was adjusted (patch) numerous times because you just cant balance with pen and paper.
Make the change you suggested on a test server, find 12 decent people and test it in a big variety of setups.
Pushing changes because someone wrote "nerf xy" and someone else posted his first idea will not get us anywhere.
First you have to provide evidence that guard is to strong.

Lol. You know absolutely nothing about me or how I played my toons and yet you make all these assumptions, all of which are wrong, about me.
This reminds me of the thread on the Bioware forums where people playing wp/dok screamed blue murder about the nerf to their group heal and how it would end those classes AND the game. I'm pretty sure that wp/dok remained viable healers after the change. There were certainly a lot people playing them in the ensuing years.

soulcheg, if you are guarding a choppa in the MIDDLE of the enemy zerg you are supposed to die,
And if not, there is somth wrong with guard, if it allows you to stand in the enemy zerg without dying.
just saying.

Guard damage should very rarely be a concern to a tank that is running even a semi-defensive build.
This is partly the point. Tank
needs to spec defensively (block/parry) in order not to be an extra burden on healers from Guard damage when **** starts to hit the fan. Guard is well balanced as it is in my opinion.

All i know about you - that you don't know anything about guard and guarding, that's enough. How long you guarded mailboxes in warcamps- not interesting.

This is a subjective argument and should probably be refrained from. Unless you properly define what "zerg" is and how much incoming damange we are talking about. I am sure soulcheg would not expect a guarded Choppa to survive for long being focused by a 12+ ppl.
