Event items must not be "pvp must have items" imo.. that way it cancels the effort some ppl did on farming their items and creates a general imbalance.(and imagine that i'm a no farming fun) .They must be silly, funny , unique rewards just for the fun of it.
ps: general imbalance = check ah prices on new cloaks (str ones especially ) . now imagine some WE serial deathblower with 10 of those.
ps2: event that triger rvr action. well i dont think we have to be so much proud of ourselves when we killed the champs and next to us our fellows were ganged by the less powerfull side at that moment. that event was pure pve event in pvp area..dont even thing we solved the problem..yet..

I don't understand why people farmed the cloaks for hours. The few extra stat points doesn't make a difference at all. I would understand it maybe, if there would have been a cloak with weaponskill .

I farmed them because my toons had no cloaks at all

Yes, ok in this case it's a minor difference. But compared to gale/storm courser cloaks, i don't understand it.
I was just referring to people that felt like they have to farm them and complained about it (it's still alpha phase).
I "only" got 2 cloaks, one strength (was a gift) and one ballistic (was a drop).

I see your point. Mainly the whole champ grinding was awful. All the people, me included, were driven by greed because they found a way to loot an awesome cloak. The fact that cloaks were so damn rare for the most, assists this behavior.
And I don't really believe that the event brought the people back into the rvr lakes. Yes, they fought over the champs, but most of the time a bunch of orders farmed their side and des farmed their side.
Side by side, we peacefully farmed the cloaks and thats the point

It was quite funny to see people asking the other faction to 'please stop were here for cloaks' when they pushed a few times. I think fixing droplists would have made farming these cloaks alot less of a pve event. If GR/SC cloaks were dropping from all the correct mobs. People were farming because these mobs were guaranteed drops which encourages farming specific mobs.
